Renovated apartment in historic building located in the heart of downtown. Plenty of shops, good restaurants, art galleries and water activities on the New River. 6 min drive to Mt. Jefferson State Park where you can find beautiful trails. Local cheese factory for tours and tastings. Check yourself in with ease using keypad on front door. Located above Hatchet Coffee, and next door to shops and Tea Room/restaurant. Short walk to Breweries and restaurants.
This property doesn’t allow pets.
The space
Large king size master bedroom with an en-suite included. Master bath has a double sink vanity, large shower, and 67" soaking tub. Two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and another with two twin XL beds. The second full bath, with two separate sinks, has a dividing door separating each sink for additional privacy. The kitchen, dining and living rooms are shared by an open floor plan. Kick back and relax on large sectional while watching netflix, youtube, hulu, etc. on the 65" smart TV. An additional smart tv can be rolled into the bedroom of your choice. The sectional sofa converts into a pull out double bed with upgraded gel mattress. You'll find many board games and DVD's for entertainment. The kitchen is fully equipped with new stainless steel appliances and 11 foot granite island. Dining table seats 8 comfortably. At basically a home away from home, you'll be comfortable and happy staying in this wonderful 1,650 square ft. West Jefferson retreat.
Other things to note
Occupancy is limited to house guests only. No parties allowed. Pet free apartment.
This is 2nd floor apartment with steps (photo in listing). It does not have elevator and is not handicap accessible.

Kelly- our host- was amazing. She was very responsive to questions prior to our arrival. The apartment was so comfortable and inviting. Everything was provided- all we had to do was show up and enjoy our stay. We walked everywhere- the location is so convenient to the downtown.

I’ve been to West Jefferson multiple times and this is the best VRBO rental available. Not only because the loft is awesome. The location is perfect because you can just walk to everything in town plus the coffee shop below is great and so convenient. I suggest anyone coming to visit try to see if this unit is available. You will not be disappointed.. I promise

This place was a hidden gem! Perfect location if you’re staying in West Jefferson. We chose this place instead of staying in nearby Boone. With 3 teenagers it was nice they all had their own bed. We stayed 3 nights and it was freezing cold (for this Florida family). The main room stay nice and warm while the bedrooms definitely stay colder. It was nice to have space heaters available. The place was fully stocked. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Honestly, I tried to find something I needed and the only thing that came up was a full sized cookie sheet. Everything else is there and that’s so refreshing and made me glad I passed on staying in a hotel. We enjoyed hanging out, watching football, playing games and exploring the town. Many local places within walking distance, but did head into nearby towns to find some activities my older boys would enjoy. Great host, communication and such a pleasure to stay at this great spot. Will definitely stay again next time we head that way! Thank you!!

Business trip. The loft is in a great location and really nice. There’s a coffee shop right below which is so convenient. And the hostess is great. Very professional and friendly. I suggest anyone coming to West Jefferson to check availability for this loft

Host was extremely responsive and wonderful to work with! Space was clean, well stocked, and in a perfect location. The three bedrooms provide enough space for small kids/teens and the living room set up was large enough for our family of four to lounge comfortably. Everything is within walking distance (shops, restraunts, Ashe County Cheese, gas station, etc.) A coffee shop is right next door and they have a great selection (and open early!)The price is well worth the convenience!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful retreat in West Jefferson, NC! The home was thoughtfully appointed and perfectly located—just steps from downtown, great coffee shops, unique shopping, and Appalachian State. Our hostess was incredibly attentive and accommodating, making sure every request was met with care and kindness. She responded quickly to any questions we had, ensuring that our stay was as smooth and enjoyable as possible. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy the best of the area. We loved being in downtown and having lots of cool places to eat and shop within walking distance. The apartment was clean and very well-stocked (kitchen items, games, etc.). The rooms were all spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms were both large and functional. We loved our stay and are already talking about booking again.

Beautiful apartment! The pictures don't do it justice! The apartment is spacious, very clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The owner has thought of everything you might need on a vacation and it's all there, from an extra charging cord with every adapter by the bedside to spare umbrellas by the door to games and movies for relaxing. The beds and linens were so comfortable. The kitchen has everything you can need to make a meal or snack. And every part of the apartment was impeccably clean. We would and have already recommend this as a perfect place to stay and explore West Jefferson!

Absolutely wonderful stay!

We were in town for Freshman Orientation for at Appalachian State University and decided that while our son was at the college we would explore West Jefferson and the surrounding area. The apartment is truly a lovely experience, the decor and esthetic is gorgeous, it was extremely clean, the beds and all furniture comfortable, every possible amenity was thought of, the location was perfect and communication with the host was easy with quick responses. We truly loved our stay and will stay again!

Wonderful!We loved the apartment and location. So nice to be able to walk anywhere in town and get back easily. We visit W. Jefferson often and this is the nicest place we've stayed. We slept well and relaxed comfortably on the couch. They had everything you could want or need and when we did take a drive we always found a close parking spot available. Kelly is the perfect host. You won't regret renting!

Weekend Away

The apartment was really nice! Comfortable, great wifi, spacious and well appointed. Best is that it is located in downtown West Jefferson for great walking, shopping, restaurants, drinks, music, new Paddy Mountain hiking trail two minutes from the apartment, Mt. Jefferson a short drive…everything nearby! We had a wonderful weekend away.

Holiday Haven

We had an amazing time at the 2nd Street Retreat! The host communicated phenomenally before/during/after the visit. There were a ton of games, books, movies and amenities. It's right downtown, within walking distance of everything this adorable town has to offer! Mt. Jefferson is a quick 5-7 minutes drive with beautiful views. We will definitely be staying here again.

Amazing Place

This apartment was amazing! It was spacious and very clean. It was also very close to Main St for shopping and eating. The host was very easy to work with. My family loved our stay. We have no complaints and look forward to hopefully staying again soon!!
