"Very basic but even for the price the rooms were dusty. Cobwebs hanging off the walls. We had two nights due to a local wedding. Asked to move rooms because the mattress was terrible. Was told all the mattresses are the same and getting upgraded in the winter. Changed rooms, slightly better mattress. Even for a cheap night I'd expect no cobwebs / dust and a decent mattress. Won't go again."

"This hotel is beautiful and in a fantastic location! The breakfast room/restaurant room is absolutely stunning!! The bedrooms are beautiful too, with a great en-suite and comfortable bed. The only things that let it down are the really bad wi-fi (not great when you’re trying to look up routes for exploring the area or restaurants to go to) and no mini fridge in the room (mainly for medication that needs to be refrigerated). If those could be fixed this place would be perfect!!!"

"The room was very basic with no frills. It was clean and functional but lacked any shelves, place to put suitcases, and no air conditioning. There was so little space to walk around the beds as our suitcases were on the floor. Our family of three felt like we were always on top of each other."

"Lovely surroundings. Nice bar on the old Stavles able to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. Bedrooms spacious and comfortable. Staff very helpful and welcoming."

"Lovely stay in a period hotel. Staff, food and our room were lovely as were the hotel grounds. Parts of the property are in need of a bit of TLC but it didn’t affect our stay in any way and we would stay there again."

"A small privately owned hotel, good situation for a visit to Saltaire. Many people arrived by train which was a short walk away. The owner was very helpful, even writing us a map to Saltaire."
