First floor is lovely living space with a nice half bath. Second floor features two full bathrooms, one ensuite (where the King bed is) as well as three bedrooms. Very clean property, with parking, which is a plus in this neighborhood. There is a Target within 2miles. H Street Corridor is less than a mile, Whole Foods/Aldi/CVS and Starbucks. It is easiest to travel into and out of the city via Uber. The house is well stocked, but plan on bringing your own coffee (Ninja countertop coffee maker) and tea.Guests have use of washer and dryer, and host had ample detergent/bleach etc. *One note, we had some trouble getting an Uber after our evening tour. The driver said that while this neighborhood is safe, the neighborhood between the Capitol and this location isn't as safe at night. I would just plan ahead and book that ride early. The host is WONDERFUL. Check out requirements were super easy.

The communication with the host was good - he gave us a speedy check in. The location of the property was in a transient area but we had no problems. There were shops nearby that we walked to and back. Upon arrival to get the code to enter the host informed us that he had a separate private space on the property and not to leave the back gate open so his pets would not run out. His unit was in the basement underneath. That transparency with him being in the basement while we rented would've been nice to know beforehand. Because he has pets we could hear barking a bit on day one. The stairs are a little steep and we had a few trip hazards going up and down. One of the stair spindles is not safe it comes out and needs to be fixed. We would also recommend the host having new shower liners for each rental period and the tub mat should be replaced with each rental. This is a sanitary issue with the reuse of it over and over. Other things we would recommend pillow covers then a pillow case for sanitary reasons and a professional cleaning of the house overall. He did stock lots of supplies etc in the kitchen and bathroom which was good although we ate out everyday. We spent most of our time out sightseeing at the museums so we left early and came back late after 9 or 10 pm. Lastly the house had a smell of smoke in one room or mildew. We couldn't tell where it was coming from. We lit candles and sprayed air freshener at those times.

The property is in a perfect location which is conveniently near all the tourist sites and museums. Bus stop a few steps away and restaurants are close by in the NOMA area. Host was very understanding and allowed for early Checkin which was very easy and simple. Our 1st impression of the home was that it is very beautiful and welcoming. The beauiful green plants are a nice touch. All areas were clean and comfortable. The only negative was an odd smell and dirty stained rugs in living room and bedroom. Other than that I would rate my stay 5 out of 5.

Authentic DC stay

This property was clean and spacious, even for our family of six. The layout of the house and furniture were comfortable and welcoming, with enough seating and living area for a group. It is located conveniently to restaurants and is a walkable distance to the monuments, national mall and museums. The off street parking was large enough for our over sized vehicle and check in and out was extremely easy.

Great DC Row House!

This house was a great place to use as a base for our family discovery of the DC area. It was so nice to return at the end of our very full days to a nice home environment (as opposed to a hotel) where we could still all gather together to eat, play cards, or whatever. James, the host, met us upon our arrival and got us started, also offering his help if anything came up, but we never needed him again, as we had everything we needed in the house! We did have a rental car, so the on-site parking was a huge plus. We are a family of 5 (Grandma, daughter, son-in-law, and 2 young adult grandchildren), and the layout of the bedrooms, bathrooms and sleeping areas worked for all of us! And the entire house was very clean. Our week in DC was extremely memorable and staying at this property was part of that.

Great place in a great location

Stayed here with family for a weekend sightseeing trip. The host was very responsive and the place is beautiful, beds were very comfortable and the place was perfect for our group of 5. Would stay again.

Great place!

My family and I stayed here for a cousin’s wedding in DC. The house is lovely and had all the amenities you could need. The owner was great and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend a stay here.

Great spot in DC!

This place is a great place to stay while you are exploring DC. It's not far from a Metro station (20 min walk) plus it's close to the Union Market. Highly recommend!
