Nestled amid 8 acres of Shawangunk, New York's forested beauty, this log home embodies the cozy comfort of a Western cabin while offering modern amenities. Set on a serene country road frequented by walkers, joggers, and cyclists, the location ensures tranquility with only the sounds of birds and rustling trees.
This haven invites exploration of nearby attractions like Mohonk Preserve, Minnewaska State Park, and New Paltz Village. For a different pace, follow the trail from the backyard to Angry Orchards and enjoy a pint. Whether unwinding or using it as a base for Hudson Valley adventures, this space promises relaxation.
The main floor features a complete kitchen, a living area with a wood-burning pellet stove, a TV lounge, a bathroom boasting a claw-foot tub, and a cozy bedroom offering stargazing views.
Upstairs, two spacious bedrooms with queen-size beds await, accompanied by a large bathroom equipped with a jacuzzi tub, glass shower, and double sink vanity. Enjoy the outdoors with three decks, including two wraparounds, accessible via three access doors from the kitchen and living room. The back deck hosts a gas grill/smoker, a six-seater table, lounge chairs, and a seasonal hot tub.

The cabin was spacious and cozy with a great back yard and welcoming porches with grill , tables and hot tub . There is plenty of wildlife in the yard with wineries and Angry Orchard cider mill in close proximity. It just a beautiful area and a great place to be and relax with friends and family.

We rented this for my daughter’s wedding. Her and her bridal party stayed there. We took some of the most beautiful pictures in and outside of the house. The property was as beautiful as they say. The hosts were even nice enough to let us in a couple of hours early to set up before the bride came.

Fabulous!

The cabin was so comfortable, and just as described. We all remarked on how comfortable the beds were, and the abundance of pillows to choose from for a restful sleep. The location was perfect, and the property was just beautiful! We loved waking up to bird song - such a variety of birds to hear and photograph! Rhona, our host, was very prompt and courteous in responding to any communication and/or questions. It's always great to get away with family and friends, reconnect, and just enjoy each other's company in a setting where we feel at home. Thank you, we would stay again in a heartbeat.

Cozy and Calm

The atmosphere of this log cabin was relaxing - just what we needed to spend quality time together as a family away from work and the daily grind. The view of trees outside and the natural materials inside were refreshing, and there were great amenities, like a jacuzzi tub and pellet stove to really unplug. Loved our stay here.

Thanksgiving Retreat

Peaceful and serene! The property was perfect for us and our dogs. Nature abound! Soaking in the hot tub with snowflakes falling from the sky. The owner was so accommodating and the house had everything you could ask for. Will come back for sure

Secluded Paradise

Beautiful rooms, all with a well curated rustic look and feel. The exterior of the house was clean with an expansive and well manicured lawn. The back deck was awesome. Plenty of room to enjoy the beauty of the back yard and woods.

Great for West Point

We had a lovely stay at this unique house. We loved watching the wildlife roaming through the front yard! Truly a great place - it was a reasonable drive to West Point. Communication with the owner was really good and we appreciated that very much...we would stay here again!

NY visit

Great relaxing place close enough to everything. Angry orchard close and fun spot, took train into city twice and that was an easy trip. Cabin was great place to “come home to” after a busy day. Would definitely stay here again.
