"I was impressed by this hotel and casino. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had many things to do from the casino, outdoor swimming pool, and food selection on site. This hotel provided us a great way to enjoy the outdoor of the Smoky Mountains during the day and then fun in the casino at night. This will be a hotel that we will remember for future get aways."

"This is a Hotel from the early 20th century. It has wonderful character. It doesn't have AC but does not really need it due to being up in the mountains at about 3500 ft. a room fan and open window was more than adequate. We had small issue with a smoke detector battery getting low and the detector started chirping at 4 in the moring. They don't have over night staff so it was fixed in the morning while we were out and fixed by noon. They do have a weekend breakfast that was very good. ...

"Checking in was a nightmare, not on the property manager but on hotels.com. Hotels.com had the wrong property manager listed, didn’t share my info with the real property so they could contact me. I had to track down the real property manager myself the morning before i left causing me to leave late. "Facility is old but serious efforts have been made to update. New dropped ceilings, fairly new furnishings, new paint, quaint etc. Very clean and comfortable. I had very limited contact with staff, but that was pleasant.
There was some road noise but not terrible. Spacious parking was at the room entry.
Some of the room photos are misleading. Be sure to designate whether you was street front or creek side. Also be prepared for a 3% credit card charge.
The most serious negative was the high step...
