Summary:
The "Mainsail" is the newest tiny container home by CargoHome™. With 1 bedroom and an air mattress in the living area, it sleeps up to 4 people. Features a super-comfy Tuft & Needle™ queen size mattress. The upstairs rooftop deck lights up beautifully at night and is a great place to enjoy a morning coffee. Full-size, custom tiled shower and spacious bathroom completes this beautiful home. A short 12 minutes to Magnolia and Baylor.

The Space:
This unique home started as a 40' shipping container. We insulated and paneled the interior in pine shiplap and trimmed it out in 100+ year old barnwood. The outside is clad with cedar siding with spacing to allow the original container to still be seen. The fun rooftop deck is surrounded by a custom cable railing system and lit with LED lights under the rail that gives the deck a beautiful glow at night. LED lights inside and a super-quiet, efficient mini-split A/C unit make this a comfortable, energy efficient place.

The Neighborhood:
Great, safe neighborhood in the country just north of Waco. 5 minutes from I-35 and 3 minutes from Homestead Cafe and Craft Village. Only 8 minute from the Waco airport.

Getting Around:
You can park right at the house and Uber is available.

Interaction with Guests:
We live right around the corner so are available for anything you need including any questions on the house or your time in Waco. We’ll try to meet you to show you the house if possible but you can also check yourself in with the passcode we’ll send you the day of check-in.

Love it!

I have always wanted to stay in a container home and this cost did not disappoint. I had a little glitch with the check in (mechanical) but the owner responded right away with a solution that did not delay my access to the property. The most enjoyable part of the trip is sitting on the roof at night. Beautiful!

So Glad We Stayed Here!

Besides being on a busy road, which really only bothered me for about five minutes, we had such a nice stay here. Everything was neat and clean and thoughtfully designed and executed. We would gladly recommend this rental, and would be happy to stay again.

Spring Break Get Away

Accommodations were 3C (clean, cozy, comfortable. Only dislike was hearing highway traffic. Also somewhat uncomfortable with not being able to close the blinds facing the highway because some of the slats were broken and warped. I did chose this property because listing said 2 bedrooms but it actually is a 1 bedroom. It worked out because 2 family members were not able to make the trip.

This was a great stay for the night. Clean and just the right size for 2 people. Nothing was really close so we didn’t go anywhere once we checked in…. Felt too far to venture out for dinner. Wish we would have brought food to make! But highly recommend for a night for sure!!

Relax, relate and release

The pictures reflect exactly as you enter the container. We were able to RELAX within the confines of our tiny home - no noise (not even freeway noise), RELATE - what this particular container had to offer, was a minimalist home away from home with all its amenities, including a soft bed and television to watch. No essential was left behind but awaiting your use. Even the city of Waco was RELATablE, especially the Silos district. Last but not least, RELEASE - the stress of our everyday hustle, worries of constant media buzz and reset of our mind with the sounds of nature, book reading along with a cup of coffee. This place is a gem for you to match the experience.

Amazingly clean, adorably decorated, peaceful retreat, uniquely fun & different

Our experience was blissful from beginning to end! Amanda graciously answered every quirky question I asked before arriving. Everything was perfectly staged, stocked & decorated. We loved relaxing on the rooftop while drinking coffee in the morning & snuggling on the sofa while watching movies in the evening . Our bed felt like we were sleeping on a cloud and the a/c kept us comfortably cool (as outside temps were in the 90’s). Again…..we couldn’t have prayed for a better Vrbo stay. We’ll definitely be back!
