Shep's blocks in Virginia Beach

Upscale beach rental available in prestigious Croatan in Virginia Beach. Gorgeous views of the Atlantic Ocean! Wet bar on 4th floor deck. Five bedrooms, three and 1/2 baths. Large, fully equipped kitchen. Open living area on 3rd floor, with views of the ocean from all windows. Lots of work spaces with WiFi to work while you enjoy the view and smell the fresh, sea air. Two outside showers (one enclosed) to rinse off after the sand and salt water. Just steps to the beach, this beauty is close enough to smell the sea breeze and hear the waves lapping at the shore. Close to Rudee Inlet for boating, water sports, and fishing.
We are constantly updating and refreshing the property, providing new/additional furniture and amenities that visitors have suggested, to enhance the experience of our guests. Guests have said this is the most beautiful home they have ever stayed in! We hope you will enjoy it, as well. Make it your next staycation spot!

Great house, great hosts

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be able to come back again! The owners clearly communicated checkin/etc, and were able to provide a high chair to accommodate our 18mo old. Croatan is a lovely neighborhood, and we hope to be able to visit again soon. House was very comfortable. Everything was supplied as indicated. We made ample use of the decks to get some sun and enjoy celebrating with our family. Cheers!

Extended Family Getaway

This house was large enough for our group and still felt like home!! The rooms were spacious and the multiple terraces provided nice views of the surrounding area, especially from the roof deck. Our days were spent on the beach, one block away, and our evenings on the Boardwalk, just a five minute drive. Will definitely look to return in the future!!

Trident Spectre 2021

The house was great and enjoyed immensely. There was an issue with the stove on the 3rd floor. The gas line has a leak. If the gas was not turned off after each use it leaked in to the house. It was realized when they came home one afternoon to it smelling of gas in the house. They turned it off immediately and opened all the windows. From that point on they just turned it off after each use. Other than that the stay was great.

Great Place and Person

Our group had a reservation in 2020 that was interrupted by COVID. We all are very appreciative of the ethical nature of Carol, who extended our reservation to this spring, and honored the initial pricing we had. While our stay at the property was enjoyable, we want other prospective vacationers to know that Carol is a very responsive, and honorable person. Thanks again Carol!

Lovely home

We loved our week at Shep's Quarters! There were seven of us, and we had plenty of space to spread out. The master suite was as nice as a suite at a luxury hotel. We had everything we needed for fun: beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes with helmets, games, puzzles, Roku TVs, and a dream kitchen. If we could change one thing, it would be to boost the WiFi. We had three people working from home for part of the week, and the signal did not extend to the first floor bedrooms where two of them had planned to work. We shifted ourselves around to make it work, but thought that might be helpful to know. And Carol is a great host, answering all of my pre-vacation planning inquiries immediately!

Perfect Beach House!

Our family totally enjoyed our stay at this Perfect Beach House! The house was extremely clean, roomy, great beds, well-appointed kitchen, and had dazzling views of the ocean and unbelievable sunsets! The owner was attentive, gracious and flexible when we had Covid-related re-scheduling issues. We look forward to staying here again!

Great vacation

Wonderful family get away

The house was perfect to allow plenty of space for each family member. The proximity to the beach can’t be beat! We had such a great family vacation and hope to be back!

Owner was great to work with. She was able to get us an early check in. Only negative I would say about the house is some thought the house smelled like smoke. Also, parking is really rough. Although, there are some great neighbors who offered to let us park at their house.

Great Location, Perfect for Families or Couples.

This has been my best experience I've had using Home sharing services, The owner Carol went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and everything was perfect, while also reserving our privacy. Winter family holiday

All 12 family members enjoyed the time spent together, and this house accommodated us well. The location and accessability of Croatan Beach was terrific, with activities at Virginia Beach just a short drive away. The owner's communication was a high point for me, as this was my first experience renting a big house for a family gathering.

Beautiful

This was our first experience with renting a house and it will NOT be our last. It made my daughters wedding that much more enjoyable. And the house was beautiful and clean. And Carol the owner was very accommodating. My husband LOVED it! He said “he felt like he was at home!” And my husband is very picky about where he stays. So we will definitely do this again.

The property was exactly how it looked in the pictures! It was in a great location, about 1 block from the beach. The upside down layout took us a day to get use to, but you cannot beat the views of the ocean from it! House was very well maintained and cleaned. Anytime I needed to call Carol she was available and answered all of our questions. Best beach experience we have ever had!
