Viatges a Villiers

Staff was helpful. There was a pack and play in the room ready for us. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good albeit expensive. Room did have a bit of a smell though. But not a terrible amount.

Amazing location, right in the heart of the old part of town. Quaint and quirky. You can see its a very old building, and the way it has been modernised is definitely keeping in character.

Property is quite unresponsive. Staff doesn't seem too happy to be of service to their customers. I booked a room for three people. Their welcome "gift" was for two: two tea bags, two cookies, two something else. When we asked for the tea to be replenished, front desk said it was only a one time gift. Room had only 5 hangers that were attached to the closet (security hangers: only with a ring on top). We asked for more hangers, front desk initially said that's all they have. After many "nos" to our different requests, she finally came with a handful of security hangers that were dead-knot-tied together. Thank goodness the room had some utensils, but were blunt. We almost took someone's eye out trying to saw through the rope. After we realized that the hangers can't be used in the closet (because of the rings), we finally just hung the hangers anywhere there was an outstretched nub. Yes, we McGyver our way in this accomodation. Parking was a bit of a nightmare too. Without much instructions (parking address was given as different from property location), we managed to get ourselves there after multiple road closures that didn't allow us to get to the property. Also asked that the room be cleaned (more like trash taken out, because the trash can was small, and three people can quickly fill it up), and was told that room was cleaned only after 8 days of stay. Not a pleasant experience.
