This is a good budget choice, with some caveats. We had to make a booking on short notice because our original host canceled 3 days before our trip and very little was available. First the good: the price is very reasonable, so it’s good for anyone on a budget. The rooms, except for the bathrooms, are spacious. There is a large screen smart tv in the living room. Maids will come every day and it was kept very clean. We felt safe there because the compound of 3 units is surrounded by a 7 foot cement wall, topped by razor wire and there’s an electronic gate. Kitchen appliances are new and clean.
Now the negatives. You will need to use taxis to get into town. It is around $10 each way. GPS shows up inaccurately so there were problems for drivers finding us. That was a minor inconvenience, but the biggest issue was that the showers had uneven pressure and temperature swings from hot to cold with no mixing. The bathrooms are tiny and poorly planned. You can’t open the doors enough to walk in because there are miniature low sinks placed behind the doors, and you have to step into the shower area to enter the bathroom. The beds are rock hard. I think other cultures may prefer hard beds, but people from the US like beds with some “give”. There is no dining table in the house but there is a picnic table outside.
If you are willing to put up with some inconveniences, it’s a good value.
