Gîte Des Vignes and its Annex in SANCERRE

In the heart of the Sancerre vineyard, with a view of the vineyards, get away from it all as a couple or as a family for a weekend or more ..., in a friendly and rustic setting in a region famous for its wine and its beauty. 1h30 from Paris by car (1h30 by Cosne cours sur Loire station), 5 minutes from shops, 10 minutes from the Loire for swimming or fishing. 10 minutes from the Sancerrois golf course (18-hole course). From the gîte des vignes, you can go directly for a walk in the vineyard, summer will seduce you with its light and its warm and mild climate at night; fall with its haunting mist - lovers' season, winter, harsh and sometimes white, will make you want to curl up near the fireplace with friends, around a delicious meal.
If you also like golf, architecture, inns, the famous Chavignol cheeses, hikes in the heart of the vineyards or on the banks of the Loire, this is the place for you.
During your stay, we will be happy to organize a tasting of our sancerres as well as a visit to our cellar.

A LITTLE HISTORY
Located in BERRY, Sancerre from its rocky peak of 300m above sea level, overlooks the splendid panorama of the Loire Valley.
Etienne de Champagne, 1st count of Sancerre, in the 12th century built a fortified castle and fortified the city which played a preponderant role in the Middle Ages. Hundred years war, wars of religion, (memorable siege in 1573 of the city which became Huguenot for a time) royalist uprising known as '' La Vendée Sancerroise '' during the Revolution, were the most significant events in its history from the 12th century to the end of the 17th century. From this period, Sancerre lost its strategic importance and had to submit to the laws of the State despite its rebellious nature. Chief town of the district in the year VIII of the first Republic, the city was beheaded intellectually in 1926 by the suppression of its sub-prefecture and independent administrative services. At the start of this third millennium, Sancerre remains a city where life is good: capital of two gastronomic products that meet the A. O.C (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) label: Sancerre Wine and Crottin de Chavignol. These advantages make it one of the busiest tourist hubs in the Center Region.

We had a great week in June 2023 at the Gite and would recommend to anyone wanting something a bit different but peaceful. Loads of walking, activities and of course wine tasting to be had. We were actually on a golf break but want to do some wine tasting too, so it was a perfect location. Alice was fantastic in communicating all the info we needed. Thoroughly recommend the place.

Nice cottage In excellent location right in Domaine Reverdy Ducroux. Shabby chic in nature but with everything you need. Excellent outside garden space with lovely view over the vines.

Das Haus ist gross. Für 6 Personen wird es allerdings im Essbereich eng. Es gibt einen schönen Außenbereich mit Wiese zu den Weinfeldern. Absolut ruhig. Die Küche war unsauber und die Abzugshaube hätte längst gereinigt werden müssen. Geschirr und Besteck waren ein Sammelsurium Überall Spinnweben in den Räumen. Ausreichend Handtücher. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war unkompliziert. Sie hat sich auch persönlich vorgestellt.

Vous rechercher le calme, la proximité avec les vignes et donc les viticulteurs.trices, la douceur des paysages de la Loire, vous aimez le crottin de Chavignol, les randonnées, les vieilles pierres…le confort et l’équipement du gite des vignes à Verdigny vous séduiront. L’hébergement est conforme à la description, la mise à disposition de tout le linge, la prise en charge de l’entretien de fin de séjour et les procédures de départ et d’arrivée simplifiées sont appréciables. Une belle parenthèse en terre sancerroise.

Séjour à 3 couples d'amis. Hébergement confortable et chaleureux. La literie est impeccable, la propreté irréprochable. La cuisine équipée donne sur une terrasse et un jardin avec une vue imprenable. Alice a été à l'écoute de nos besoins. Une adresse à retenir !

First, the views as I drive towards the apartment are striking. It is harvest in this famous wine region of France. The apartment was very clean and offered outstanding views of the vineyard behind the apartment. I recommend you stay here and immerse yourself in the local outstanding vineyards of Sancerre.

Nous ne connaissions pas la région conseillée par des amis. Située au milieu des vignes, en avons profité pour visiter le domaine et ses caves. C'est très agréable sous le soleil, joli paysage vallonné. Propriétaires sympathiques.

een fijn groot huis met alles erop en eraan. wij waren er met zijn tweetjes en een hond. Geschikt voor 6 personen. Twee badkamers , drie slaapkamers met fijne bedden. Tussen de domaines waar je wijn kan proeven van heel goede kwaliteit

Très belle location. Bien située,très bien équipée. Vous y passez un bon séjour. Par contre il est appréciable de trouver au frais une bouteille d'un excellent Sancerre du domaine avec une charmante invitation " privilège" pour visiter les caves, mais dans notre cas après avoir pris rendez-vous, nous avons dégusté quelques vins, mais sans visite il n'y avait personne... Dommage car j'attachais de l'importance a cela.
