Charming gîte with swimming pool on organic wine estate

Welcome home! Our house is located on our small organic winery, the Domaine de Valmengaux, surrounded by our vineyards.
It is a charming stone Girondine, of 140m² on 2 levels: kitchen open to a living room with a large fireplace, bedroom (bed 160) and bathroom-toilet on the first floor; 3 bedrooms (2 beds of 80 that can be grouped into 1 single of 160), 1 shower room, 1 toilet and a corridor-library (many books at your disposal). All the living rooms overlook the garden and its swimming pool.

The house turns its back on the estate and its access is independent. It has been completely renovated in recent years (frames, kitchen, painting). The quality bedding is completely new. The furniture mixes antique and contemporary furniture, in a harmonious and warm style.

It is an old house with all its charm (old terracotta tiles and large open fireplace on the first floor, parquet flooring upstairs) and its small defects (narrow and steep staircase to access the first floor).

Wine lovers will appreciate the cellar at their disposal, offering a selection of twelve cuvées from several estates at property prices. We also produce two atypical Bordeaux red cuvées: one aged in oak barrels, bringing finesse and complexity with a very discreet woodiness, the other aged in terracotta jars for an authentic and original expression of the terroir.

Ideally located in the heart of the Fronsadais, the Domaine de Valmengaux is a privileged starting point to discover the riches of the Libourne and Saint-Émilion regions. Only a few minutes away, the wine-growing villages, the hilly landscapes of vineyards and the many castles invite you to discover. The medieval city of Saint-Émilion, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, seduces with its remarkable architecture, its cobbled streets and its unique underground heritage. Nature lovers will also appreciate walks or bike rides in the middle of the vineyards, the banks of the Dordogne as well as the local markets where producers and craftsmen bring the Gironde art of living to life.

Between heritage, gastronomy, wine tourism and the sweetness of life, the region offers a multitude of experiences to enhance your stay.
