  • Una casa de postas y un granero construidos en piedra que sirven al antiguo molino de agua que funcionó en este sitio hasta la década de 1950. Los actuales propietarios lo han convertido en un encantador apartamento de planta abierta con un baño separado (con ducha). Hay una cocina / comedor bien equipada y un área de dormitorio (que puede cortarse) con dos camas individuales y un sofá cama doble. Ubicado en un tranquilo jardín de 2. 5 acres con un riachuelo, columpio de árboles, trampolín, césped bien cuidado y muebles de exterior. La propiedad se encuentra en una intersección de senderos bien utilizados y está a solo unos minutos a pie cruzando los campos desde el encantador Santuario de Burros de la Isla de Wight. Fácil acceso a hermosas playas como Steephill Cove, Shanklin y Ventnor. A una milla del pintoresco pueblo turístico de Godshill con sus numerosos pubs, restaurantes y cafeterías.

Wonderful hosts

Rebecca and Guy are wonderful hosts who made sure we felt at home throughout our stay at the cottage. We particularly enjoyed exploring their extensive grounds by the river.

Paradise!!

Stunning property & grounds with a beautiful stream & gardens galore. Historic grain mill turned into an adorable cottage with all the amenities. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others. Especially fabulous for families, our boys adored staying in the Romany Wagon! We were fortunate to meet the owners, Rebecca & Guy, who are lovely hosts. Very close to both the ferry port & sights we visited.

A beautiful relaxing place to stay. The granary+caravan were amazing and so pretty. Rebecca made us very welcome. Would definitely recommend and return..

A lovely stay

We enjoyed coming back to the French Mill after our big days of exploring the island. We used the bus system and it was easy to get around. We ate at Taverners in Godshill on our last night and it was delicious.

We enjoyed the garden and were allowed to pick fresh plums, apples,tomatoes & figs. Our old dog also enjoyed the garden but I would have been more relaxed if there had been a barrier between the cottage and the busy main road.

The landlady have great communication skill. The property is set on a peaceful and beautiful ground. Had a great time at the cottage escaping the city hussle and bustle.

Lovely family retreat!

Me and my wife just enjoyed a mini break to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, along with our two toddlers and little dog. We had a wonderful weekend and wished we could stay a bit longer! The Granary is in an ideal location to relax and unwind and a short drive away from the beach and other activities. We will almost certainly be aiming to return in 2026!

Good location and nice property

I liked it. The romany caravan in the grounds was lovely and the property itself was very nice. The check in was easy. There is a long and interesting garden. It was easy to reach everywhere on the island.

A delightful cottage in the most charming garden

The Granary is quirky and very comfortable, equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay. The garden is just wonderful and the real highlight of our stay. Rebecca is a five star host and we can’t recommend her property highly enough. With a car or bicycles, it’s in an ideal location for exploring the island. Without, the buses are frequent, convenient and inexpensive.

Relaxing

The Granary was ideal for our use. Everything we needed was there and our small dog (Chihuahua - Snoopy) was delighted with the garden! We really enjoyed our stay and wished we had been there for long. Sorry not to meet Rebecca - next time!
