This pet-friendly, ranch-style home is perfect for families, military, and golfers alike. It features a hot tub, a fully equipped kitchen, cozy living spaces, BBQ grill, fire pit, and a large backyard. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the screened-in front porch or relax in the hot tub after a day out. Located on a quiet country road surrounded by woods, just 20 min from Pinehurst and 30 min from Fayetteville.

Hosts also live on property in an adjacent apartment not attached to the house. Glad to speak in person, text, email or phone. We’re available for any concerns or information.

There is plenty of parking for guests, with a designated area specifically marked as “Guest Parking.” It is conveniently located close to the front door. Please do not block any of the garage doors.

House is accessible by wheelchair via a ramp with the exterior doors being 36". However the interior doors are standard sized and do not accommodate a wheelchair.

Quiet property

Property was as advertised. It was in a secluded and quiet area. Close enough to town to get thing but far enough to be by yourself. Check in/out was easy and the property had just about everything we needed. We were not able to enjoy the outside area due to weather but it looked wonderful. I would recommend this property and would stay there again when I. The area.

Great little getaway!

We were doing work on our home and stayed here for the location. It was super clean and nice to be able to hang out in the backyard - using the grill and hot tub was awesome! Will stay again next time we do work on our house!

Very well kept semi-private property with nice hot tub for relaxing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend away in this very clean and well kept house. Owners are very thoughtful with all the extras from a variety of k-cups to laundry pods for convenience. Only negative thing I could possibly say is that I feel it should be listed as a guest house and clear that it's not a private house. Windows in the main area of the house as well as the hot tub can be seen from the owner's house. While it was not an issue for us it was a little bit of a shock when pulling in to find the owner's house so close and lacking privacy.

Awesome place to stay

I have been traveling regularly with work for over 20 years. This year alone I have stayed 10 times in rental homes for work and pleasure. This was the first time I had ever rented a property where the owner was onsite and must admit I was a little apprehensive. However, my concerns were completely unfounded as Penny and Ken were wonderful to deal with and this home has it all Everything is designed to enhance your stay from plenty of pots and pans in the kitchen to ample linens including beach towels for the jacuzzi At every turn you can see the owners efforts and thoughtfulness to make your stay better. Plenty of coffee pods on hand, laundry products, soap and lotions. Something that is exceptional is the abundance of tv channels available without having to pay for them. A gas grill with an extra propane tank and a great covered fire pit area stocked with wood, fire starter and everything you need The location was great as well because you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere but were actually 10 minutes from a small grocery store and HomeGrown a nice little local restaurant 20 minutes from Southern Pines where there is a quaint downtown. Shopping area and larger retail outlets nearby Thanks so much for a wonderful weekend away Joe

Great place for a family to relax

This was a perfect place for my family to gather with our soldier son. The house feels very homey. They thought of everything including labels so you dont have to hunt for the right light switch or cabinet. The property is spacious enough for a lot of activities with a lot of privacy. I will book this again in the future.

I rented properties everywhere I travel at least three times a year this one was different because the owner was on the premises drive up to a loading dock nice backyard but could not enjoy it we needed just a little bit more privacy but overall it was an excellent day the house was immaculate

Country Living

My son and I enjoyed our stay at the Krause house. Pictures are exact. Very clean home. Love the card games (ie. I was a champion playing "old Maid") and the old time movies was a plus (i.e. enjoyed seeing Andy Griffin movies, Ever After). The posted Biblical scriptures was an added bonus. Thanks Mrs. Penny for the peanut butter cookies!! Couldn't eat because I have a gluten sensitivity.

Hidden Gem!

This was our first experience with VRBO and it was NOT disappointing! The owners provided a beautifully maintained home. Extremely clean and everything was clearly labeled. They provided extras like coffee, shampoo, and dish/laundry soap that we were not expecting. So that was a very nice surprise. There were lots of games, puzzles, and movies provided as well. Everything was in working order and we had no issues. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to booking our next visit! Thank you so much for opening up your home, Ken and Penny!

Easter Weekend

Extended family spend the weekend while attending a 3-day reunion nearby. The house was perfect! With a well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms, it met our needs perfectly. We had 3 generations and it was functional for all of us! Thank you. We hope to be back soon!

Quiet, feels like home when you pull in and the lights are on.

Amazing clean home that has everything you need to feel like you are at home. Ken was very responsive and helpful with any questions I had. Lights were on for us when we arrived late and got right in with our door code. High quality, larger hot tub and all the jets worked amazingly. I will say I did not realize there would be a shared driveway or how close the owners house would be and that would be my only reason for the 4 stars on listing accuracy only because we were concerned to bother the owners with the motion light getting in the hottub late trying to look at stars. Otherwise the house is immaculate and spacious with a well labeled kitchen and light switches throughout easy navigation of the home, well thought out rental. Also even with the owners home being so close you really wouldn't have known they were there. Thank you for your hospitality, and hope to be able to stay again and feel comfortable bringing the kids to stay there, so they can visit our family from Moore County ❤ 💙
