"Overall liked the hotel - location is good and the lounge and dining area is very nice with several tables facing the ocean. However the reason for the 4 stars is that it’s toilets are not equipped to take toilet paper and there is a big sign in the room bathroom saying that toilet paper should not be flushed into the toilet. Instead they had a bin where you were supposed to put soiled toilet paper( after wiping ) - yuck! This was disgusting to us coming from the US. We stayed in two other...

It’s a budget hotel in a good location for travellers heading north. But it’s tired.
Doors that have swollen and don’t shut. Flickering light in the bathroom giving me a headache.
Shower head that doesn’t fit the holder.

"We were staying at Sun Day for a night before the flight back home and our flight was delayed. The staff changed our shuttle time with less than an hour notice and was very helpful. The room was perfect for a short stay but could accomodate a longer period. There's a lot of great restaurants beachside less than 15 min walk. Great experience."

"We had such a lovely welcome to this hotel after a long journey. The woman who checked us in was friendly and helpful and didn’t judge that we couldn’t figure out the elevator 😂. We were excited to see the beach, just the steps from the hotel restaurant. "We stayed in the Deluxe Apartment (B1 & B2) for one night because it was located close to the airport. We were quite disappointed because B2 did not have a double sofa bed as advertised; it was clearly the size of a twin (single). There was a strange/stale smell coming from the bedding and the beds felt uncomfortable. We felt deceived by the pictures of the bathrooms because they have been strategically taken to show aspects of the bathroom (e.g., sink, shower head) without showing the layout....
