From here, it’s easy to take day trips to Amsterdam, Alkmaar, or the charming coastal towns along the North Sea.

lovely boat

we were surprised at how big the houseboat was, uitgeest is a lovely place and the view of the lake and sky was stunning. the only little annoyances were: - there was no lamp in the living area and the lighting was a bit too bright - there was a toaster oven instead of a toaster - we had to make the beds ourselves which i'm perfectly willing to do in a hostel but don't really want to do when we're paying hundreds of pounds and have had no sleep on the journey there (also the bedding and towels were in shrink wrapped plastic which was weird and seemed very unnecessary) - the door to the bedroom and bathroom opened into each other - the communication was a bit confusing, we got quick replies during the booking process but not when we were trying to find out more about checking in. i don't think we were speaking to the company that provide the boats but the company who rent them for them. also we were under the impression that we'd be a bit closer to the train station than we actually were, if we'd known that in advance we'd have planned more local activities instead of travelling into amsterdam to visit museums etc i would stay here again though

Das Hausboot ist modern gestaltet, verfügt über stabile Mückennetze. Parkplatz in 3 Gehminuten, Handwagen zum Transport ausleihbar, sehr gepflegte Anlage mit etlichen Ferienhäusern etc. Rest wie beschrieben. Etwas negativ: Nähe Einflugschneise.

Hausboot mit freiem Blick auf den See

Wir waren zu zweit für 1 Woche in einem Ferienwohnung-Hausboot, das für 4 Personen ausgerichtet ist. Dafür finde ich es etwas zu klein. Allerdings ist die Lage am Ende des Stegs, mit "unverbautem" Blick auf den See unschlagbar. Würde ich auf jeden Fall noch mal machen. Wer Wassersport mag, kommt hier voll auf seine Kosten: Segelschule, surfen, Motorboot, Stand-up ... alles da. Auch Fahrradverleih etc direkt am Yachthafen. Bademöglichkeiten auch für Kinder gibt es 2 in fußläufiger Entfernung. Und im Ort Uitgeest gibt es das absolut leckerste Eis 🙂. Wir haben uns
