Ubisa Monastery is just 300m off the E60 National Road and a nice stop between Gori and Kutaisi. The St. George Basilica was built in the 9th century and the murals were painted by late 14th century artist Damiane. Two rooms in the Tbilisi National Museum (opposite the gold treasure exhibition) are reserved for five Icons, a door, the Tryptich Icon and an Epitaphios (holy shroud) saved from Ubisi Monastery.

Lovely & comfortable
A lovely and comfy hotel, great restaurant downstairs. Better than the “luxury” Crowne Plaza from across the road, where nothing is working. Will definitely consider staying here again if I am back in Borjomi!

Terrible experience. We couldn’t stay in this property, because the host said that they have other guests. They didn’t care about our reservation. Even the host said they don’t have account with expedia. The VRBO agents just said SORRY, you can grt your refund. And we could finnaly find another hotel ...
