Marigold Cottage is just a short walk to the sun, sand, and the beautiful ocean. Located on Tybee’s “main street” on the beach side of Butler Avenue, Marigold Cottage is perfectly located. The home’s mid-island location is across from the Tybee YMCA as well as Tybee Island public park and playground with picnic tables and tennis courts. The beach is just a short walk - 3 houses away!

Marigold offers loads of guest amenities, including a screened porch, a pergola, outside covered-eating area, fenced-in yard, and one of our favorite features - a roof-top deck with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean! Guests will enjoy everything you can think of for a perfect beach vacation, whether it’s a family summer vacation, a girlfriend’s getaway, a guy’s fishing expedition, a work retreat or even a couple’s romantic weekend! Walk to Tybee’s many restaurants or do your best grilling outdoors on the new Weber gas grill! Guests will enjoy a beautiful and spacious kitchen with modern appliances and a roomy dining area with plenty of space for everyone around the table.

Marigold offers four bedrooms - three with queen beds and a master bedroom with king bed - and 3 1/2 newly remodeled bathrooms. There are TVs throughout the cottage, all with Roku and cable - a 39” TV in the kitchen, 65” in the den, 32” TVs in the three bedrooms, and a 43” in the master bedroom. For guest convenience, there’s an additional refrigerator and freezer, a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer, and an outdoor shower with both hot and cold water. There’s even off-street parking for four vehicles. Come and visit Marigold cottage, your perfect Tybee getaway!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The house was big and clean and close to the beach. The oven had an issue, but the vacasa rental company was easy to get ahold of. We had a great time in Tybee Island.

The property was nice overall however the house could use a good update. The sliding glass door that takes you out to the screened in area was broken when we arrived and we were unable to lock that door. Loved the location and the space. Do not agree that the house is equipped for parking for four.

Pros: the house was very close to the beach and there was plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 4 childrenCons: no gas was provided to the house during the entire stay, which meant we couldn't use the stove or oven. We had to get takeout for almost every meal, which ballooned the cost of our trip and was a major inconvenience. Each day we contacted Vacasa and each day they said they were working on the resolution but it was never resolved. They offered a miniscule 25 per day initially before increasing the refund amount (still not enough) after repeated asking. The maintenance team that actually showed up told us that they informed Vacasa a week prior to our arrival that the gas was out but they still hadn't fixed it.The house overall is nice but I wouldn't trust Vacasa to resolve any issues you might encounter

Wonderful House!

Absolutely loved our week at the 'Cottage Near Ocean with Roof-top Deck'! Just steps from the ocean! Very quiet neighborhood; the house has everything one needs for a very comfortable stay! It sits in a perfect location for the ocean and restaurants! The drive to Savannah was a breeze! I think it is only 18 miles or so.We highly recommend this house and hope to return for another visit on Tybee! Thank you!

This was a wonderful house that was within walking distance to the beach and also directly next to the main road. House was very clean and great overall. We would definitely stay there again!

Great house & location!

Absolutely wonderful home with all the necessities for a stay at the beach! It had plenty of room for our five kids (all under the age of 10yrs), had a full crib (which was the BEST because my 15 m/o son deplores his pack-n-play), and a decent-sized fenced-in yard for our dog to beebop around in and do her business. The beds were very comfy, the house was perfectly clean, and there were minimal fancy knick-knacks (a huge plus with small kids who tend to break things). The bathrooms were all very nice and looked to be recently updated. The kitchen had a gas stove/oven (love cooking with gas!), and there were two grills outside (although you may have to purchase propane). There are two decks, with the middle one off the master bedroom partially screened in; the outdoor furniture was comfy and well-maintained. The laundry room was well stocked (nice full-sized washer and dryer), and included a second fridge. The beach is about a 3-5 minute walk down the short private street and over three dunes. The neighbors surrounding the home were just as lovely; many live there all year round and were kind enough to recommend places to eat/activities for our family. Overall, we were highly impressed with this house and our first visit to Tybee Island- we want to return to this house later in the summer!

AC did not work properly

House was 80-82 degrees. No fans were sent. Had to find a new place to stay following day when we had booked for 5 days. We had to take pics of unit because property manager said the unit did not have an AC unit. The listing was advertised as having a unit as well. Was also asked if we would go purchase fans after our 5 hour drive and beginning of our vacation. Very unsatisfied with the stay. The fridge also did not cool because our drinks the following morning were barely cold. Would not recommend.

Family Getaway

We couldn't check in until 5pm (original time 4pm) however they allowed us to check out an hour later at the end of the week. This place is perfect for a large family to visit. We loved the house and the easy access to the beach. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Fun weekend at Tybee

Roomy house with great master suite with screened in porch and roof top deck. Kitchen well stocked and lots of natural light. Some carpet stains but is pet friendly. Nice fenced in yard.
