Incredible experience! Entering the cove at Two Harbors reminded me of maybe a place in the South Pacific - Palm trees, mountains all around, beautiful blue water. Getting off of the ferry we were met by Abby, who anticipated our arrival and brought us up to the Lodge. The staff was available to help with every request and always greeted us with a smile. The Lodge is an Arts and Crafts former hunting lodge, built in the early 1900's. Every room within has a view of the ocean in either direction. Many pictures taken of the sunrise and sunset. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with balcony to enjoy the view. Wine and cheese provided for happy hour and light breakfast to take out to patio. My family will be coming back again. The only concern is the ferry service during the fall. Check the schedule of operation, especially if you want to travel from Two Harbors to Avalon.

Clean, cozy, and friendly staff. Cycled from Avalon and stayed overnight. Views were amazing. Nice wine and cheese offered at 5:30pm and good breakfast before biking back. Only one restaurant opened this time of year and they drove us there for dinner which was great since we had no car. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved the history associated with this property. It is charming, clean, and welcoming with great views of both harbors. It was a pleasure to be greeted by responsive and kind hearted staff. We will continue to visit here. A great quiet getaway.

Incredible views and a warm, comfortable feel.

This is your only option in Two Harbors to stay but that said it is a lovely place. A historical home with incredible views and outstanding common areas to enjoy by yourself or with other guests. Our stay was fantastic and I definately plan on visiting again.

If you like older historic accommodations that are rich in history, then you would enjoy this place. Big, tasty cookies waiting at check in and bottled water next to comfy beds, coffee and muffins were waiting in the dinning area for early birds before breakfast was served. Transportation available to get down the hill to a restaurant and beachside bar made things very convenient. I plan on staying again and sharing this experience with my friends and family.

This is a "Lodge" as the name identifies. No Air Conditioning! I was hot when we were there 90 plus and no breeze. Guests were talking about trying to sleep with wet wash cloths on the faces and necks at night. The roads to the lodge are dirt therefore there is a lot of dust and pot holes from the rain. rough road! The breakfast was very limited and on Tuesday and Wednesday the muffins and pastries were left out all day and did not change. Stale. A lot of dry rot in the wood structure. Their pictures are beautiful and I assume were expertly taken by a true master! Not really what you will find when you get there. Beautiful Views. Great Location. We paid Expedia in full when we booked then the lodge Billed me another $870 on departure. It took about an hour to get a senior person to agree to look into the matter after we presented the Expedia receipt showing payment in full. The matter was finally squared away but what a pain in the rear!

This was a rustic 1920 hotel. It was great... The wild foxes and ravens...it was great. And the staff, the girls they were great to. Picking me up in the middle of nowhere and taking me back. The bus service is the best. And breakfast is good to, o and then the wine and cheese hour.

The only hotel in Two Harbors, perched on a bluff overlooking both bays. It is 115 years old and has a rustic feel. We liked the included wine and cheese as well as the breakfast. Staff was wonderful.

The staff is excellent. Katie was so helpful and kind. Every staff member that I encountered were super friendly and sweet. Brin and Zoe, great example! Great place to be to enjoy a quiet and beautiful getaway. I would definitely return and just may do that with my family for the holidays!

This is really the only solid place to stay in Two Harbors on Catalina. I really enjoyed the staff and Andrew was particularly helpful letting me check in early and assisting my sister who was coming in later in the day while I finished up my run. No Wifi... but who really cares... there is a cell tower right next to the town and you should enjoy the serenity anyways.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I traveled solo to the lodge for a much needed time of rest and recharging. My time at the Banning House did not disappoint. It was incredibly relaxing, quiet and peaceful. I felt at home being able to lounge in any of the many comfy nooks and read. The wine and cheese experience was wonderful and the ability to grab a snack or a refreshment at any time was great. I had the most amazingly comfortable bed. I can honestly say that I had the best night of sleep in a very long time. The staff was very kind and helpful. I am very appreciative of my time spent there.

Can't wait to visit again

We were surprised and delighted by our stay at Banning House Lodge. We had just been hiking the Trans Catalina Trail for 6 days and knew our stay would feel good and needed no matter what but we arrived nearly three hours ahead of our check in time, hoping to drop our packs before heading into town for a bite, and our rooms were already ready! And then we were informed that our reservation came with a bottle of wine. The wine was delivered along with, another lovely surprise, some cheese and crackers and grapes. The room was cozy and clean and the shower was nice and hot. 10/10 recommend.

The service was phenomenal! Carol & her team were all so kind and helpful. They really went above and beyond! The room was clean and comfortable and the views were beautiful! We will definitely come back.
