A Country Idyl Between Munich and the Alps

Welcome to our vacation rental, newly renovated in 2025, in the idyllic town of Tuntenhausen.

The approximately 80 m² apartment spans two floors.

On the first floor, you’ll find a bright living and dining area with a loft and access to one of the two balconies, where you can enjoy the sunset, as well as a TV. The couch can be converted into two additional sleeping spots.
There’s also a selection of board games available to help you make the most of your evenings.

The modern, fully equipped kitchen with Siemens appliances offers everything you need for a relaxing cooking experience. A fully automatic coffee machine is also available.

The newly renovated bathroom features a walk-in shower, toilet, sink, and washing machine.

An open staircase in the living room leads you to the light-filled upper floor with two bedrooms: one with a king-size bed, TV, and access to the south-facing balcony with a view of the Alps and the church tower; the other with two single beds.

A guest restroom and a desk for relaxed work or planning your excursions round out the upper floor.

We’re happy to provide a travel crib upon request.

The skylights open electrically and are also equipped with heat-protective roller shades.

Our guests access the vacation rental via a separate staircase and their own front door.

Location & Surroundings

The picturesque town of Hohenthann is located in the north of the Rosenheim district, just about 30 km east of Munich —an ideal starting point for excursions to the Bavarian Alps, the Chiemgau region with Lake Chiemsee, or the major cities of Munich and Salzburg.

Despite its rural setting, the area has excellent transportation connections: The nearest train station in Aßling (5 km) offers direct connections to Munich (approx. 20 minutes), Rosenheim, Kufstein, Salzburg, and Innsbruck.

For relaxation and active vacations, there are numerous hiking and biking trails, wonderful beer gardens, horseback riding opportunities, playgrounds, and six golf courses within a 20-km radius. The Bad Aibling thermal baths are only 15 km away.

In winter, you can reach the foothills of the Alps—with ski resorts, cross-country ski trails, and toboggan runs—in about 30 minutes by car.
