Beach Front Apartment With Stunning Views of Classic Surfing Beach

This charming and comfortable beach front apartment overlooks one of Cornwall's most beautiful and renowned surfing beaches.
The sand and surf of pretty Porthtowan, are just yards from the apartments large balcony, facing west into the setting sun. Porthtowan itself is like a secret, secluded village, nestled around natural sand dunes and a crystal clear, bubbling stream that runs down to the sea.
(PLEASE NOTE - We can only accommodate Saturday to Saturday bookings. If you require otherwise, please ask us first - many thanks.)
The village has a local shop, post office, fish & chip shop, plus beachside pub and first class cafe, as well as an excellent Cornish ice cream parlour. Last but not least, the ever popular, beachside Blue Bar restaurant is a wonderful place to eat and drink as the sun sets into the Atlantic. Everything is within a short walking distance from the apartment.
To the left and right, beautiful cliff walks climb up on either side of the sandy bay, giving dramatic views of the Atlantic. Go left, 4miles to Portreath in the west, or climb right, to Chapel Porth and St. Agnes in the east, and enjoy a stunning 4 mile cliff walk, passing ancient tin mines (real Poldark country), to arrive in the beautiful, Trevaunance Cove.
All the landscape pictures shown with this property are of Porthtowan beach, and the walk to the next bay, Chapel Porth, via the beach, returning along the cliff top path. The sunset shot was taken on Pothtowan beach, June 19th 2023.
St. Ives is a 30 mins drive west, Newquay a 30 mins drive east.
The apartment itself has a very comfortable downstairs living area, with sweeping views across the bay. A complete, modern kitchen, provides all you will need to make delicious meals for up to four. A hallway from the front door leads past a twin bedded bedroom, and a full bathroom, before leading into the living space.
Above, via an open wooden staircase, is a mezzanine floor, with a double bed and a WC cloakroom, comprising of a toilet and hand basin.
But apart from all the comfort this apartment provides, it is the stunning views, from dawn 'til dusk into moonlight, and the few steps to the beach, that make this property such an desirable holiday destination.
A parking permit provides free parking with the property, and there is Wi-Fi, which can assist in getting a mobile phone signal inside the apartment. A new 43" smart TV will allow access to popular streaming contracts of your own, as well as certain free-view stations and i-player. Should you wish to know any more, please contact the owner.

Perfect half-term holiday

Lovely cosy property. Comfortable base for four adult family group. Great having an ensuite upstairs toilet. Fabulous views of the beach. Well informed by host at every stage from booking through to departure. Would definitely rebook in the future. Thank you.

Cosy stay in a great location

The apartment was much nicer than expected, beds were soft but very comfy. Compact but equipped with everything you might need. Apartment is directly above the cafe - this did not bother us at all. Fantastic view of the stunning beach from the balcony. The location was just superb, we could step directly onto the beach or onto the South West Coastal path. All the restaurants in the area were wonderful. The hosts were wonderful and prompt with communication. Would be happy to stay here again. It is a lovely stay in a great location

Amazing location, great hosts

We had a fantastic week's stay at Seascape. The accommodation was very clean on arrival and the hosts had provided welcome tea, coffee and biscuits. The views from the balcony were absolutely stunning and we enjoyed many a glorious sunset during our stay. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and having a washing machine was very handy. The ability to stroll on to the beach within 2 minutes was ideal. We had great weather so were in and out of the waves, which are well life guarded. All in all a fab destination and a beautiful spot to unwind and enjoy all that makes Cornwall so special.

Great location overlooking the beach we were privileged to view the most fabulous sunsets during our stay first week of Sept 2023. David landlord answered all our questions and offered recommendations of places to visit, local restaurants, etc., which we found helpful.

Family beach holiday

Very convenient location.Great sea view.A compact, but well equipped apartment. Plenty of hot water and use of washing machine. Having two toilets was useful. Very quiet even though there were families with a dog as neighbours and cafe below. Easy access on arrival and a dedicated car parking space was good.Wonderful location for beach, surfing and coast path walks and convenient for nearby attractions. Key safe worked well for independent access. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property. With thanks to our hosts.

Fantastic Beach apartment!

PERFECT for a beach holiday! Literally yards from one of the best beaches in Cornwall. Above a great cafe (but only open 10-4 so doesn’t affect your stay) and opposite a coffee shop. Beach cafe and pub restaurant (with great playground) within throwing distance too. The apartment itself is clean, tidy and comes with everything you need (including 2 body boards!). Twin room is great for two kids to share. Mezzanine over the living room with a double bed has a WC so does feel like a private room even though above the lounge. The balcony has fantastic views across the beach and you’ll be treated to beautiful sunsets over the ocean. Only reason there’s not many reviews yet is because it’s new to VRBO - will quickly rack up loads of 5 stars reviews. Finally, David and Ali were extremely helpful and accommodating. Makes a big difference to have communicative hosts and gives you peace of mind that having a great stay is important to them.

Superb sea view appt

A gem of a place. Sea views and surfer watching all day long. Couldn’t have been a better location. Vino on the balcony watching the sunset. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for being so accommodating.
