"So this property is in bad need of a renovation. The carpets of the rooms looks like they’re from the 70s. Still, the doors are very old as well. The windows were rickity and there was construction next door with heavy machinery creating a lot of noise. In the end, we did not stay here. We did ask to cancel and for a refund, but we’ve heard nothing back from the management. My recommendation is find somewhere else to stay."

"We were so comfortable in our spacious room that we booked an extra night. Besides the bedroom that included comfortable chairs and a bonus twin bed, our bathroom was luxurious. A sink for each of us, wardrobe for our clothes, and a separate tub and shower were lit up by a skylight. The room we stayed in also had a mini fridge, coffee/tea service and a desk with TV overhead. "This is a very nice hotel with parking (small lot) in the middle of lots of things to do. My son hiked Carrauntoohil and I visited the ruins of Muckross monastery and then the Muckross Estate. There were lots of shops & restaurants in the village nearby. Everything was within a 15-30 minute drive. The breakfast was a combination of a buffet and several menu options - all delicious!"

"I've stayed here twice and absolutely loved it both times. The rooms are wonderful, and each time I was lucky enough to get a wonderful view looking out at the mountains. I'm normally not one to spend time in a hotel's lobby or sitting room. Usually I'll just go straight to my room and rest there, but Randles is the exception. They have a real wood fire going in their sitting room most evenings, and the staff come out to stone the fire from time to time. My girlfriend and I loved sitting there...
