"The quality of everything was excellent. This hotel deserves its 4 stars. The customer service was first class, their knowledge and expertise, with food and drinks are visible in every detail. The decor is warm and welcoming, the wood burner was constantly tended makings the lounge areas cozy and warm. There is a welcoming atmosphere and I highly recommend."

The room could do with a little TLC with a wonky toilet seat, shower door loose and the creeking floor boards that added character to the room. "The attention to detail is so lovely. Everyone was really helpful and we enjoyed the food, the surroundings and the spa. A really beautiful getaway. The female members of staff had to put up with a pretty misogynistic guest while we were there (which we witnessed at breakfast) and they kept their cool and handled his rudeness with grace and patience. A lot of friendly professionals work here and you can see they put love into their work! "
