St Mary's church The old simple wooden cross seen in the foreground (left) is located in the southeastern-most corner of the churchyard. Dating from the 14th and 15th centuries, the church was extensively restored > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/840900 - https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/840902 but a late 14th century font remains > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/840904 and the tower screen has presumably been fashioned from parts of the 15th century rood screen. The unusual stained glass in the aisle windows > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/840907 and the west window date from 1874. There are also a few interesting brasses, one a very rare so-called cadaver brass - a shrouded skeleton > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/840912 - to Thomas Brigge (d. 1470).
