    Centrally located in the popular Village of St. James, this well decorated home has a bright and open floor plan that features a beautiful panoramic view of the Southern Star Golf Course. It is situated midway between Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood Paddock - two of the The Villages town squares and most major attractions. In both, you’ll find shopping, restaurants, movie theaters and free live entertainment nightly. It is also just minutes from nearby neighborhood shopping centers featuring three major grocery stores, numerous restaurants, banks, gas stations and car wash, etc.

    Enjoy beautiful sunrises at Golfview Cottage while sipping coffee on your lanai, reading the paper and watching the golfers. When you are ready for a day in the sun, drive your own golf cart to any of the nearby courses or simply walk down to the beautiful neighborhood adult pool. Or, take a short cart ride to the Sterling Heights Recreation Center where you will find a family friendly pool, meeting rooms with planned daily activities, billiards tables as well as bocce ball, shuffleboard and pickleball courts.

    From the moment you enter this home you’ll feel welcome and relaxed with all the comforts of home. It is beautifully decorated with comfort in mind. The open great room features a fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need to prepare meals and welcome new friends around your large dining table or in the living area with plenty of comfortable seating to watch your favorite television shows. The home also features an enclosed lanai with a comfortable sofa and TV as well as another smaller dining table perfect for enjoying the view, reading a good book, playing games or watching TV. The master bedroom features a king size bed and TV, a large walk-in closet and private master bath with walk-in shower. Both guest bedrooms have queen beds. Plenty of towels and extra linens, as well as a washer/dryer are provided.

    This home comes complete and includes a golf cart, BBQ grill and WiFi internet connection. With the purchase Resident ID Cards you can use any of the Executive golf courses or pay resident rates at the Championship courses. You are also entitled to use of any of the family friendly and adult only (30 or older) swimming pools, bocce ball, shuffleboard courts, and more plus over 1,000 organized activities every week at the numerous recreational centers located throughout The Villages.

    This home is made for fun! Just bring your suitcase and we'll provide the 'key' for enjoyment.

    NOTE: GOLF CART IS PROVIDED AS A COURTESY FROM THE OWNER IF FOR ANY REASON THE CART DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN A REPLACEMENT CART. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR RENTING YOUR OWN CART.

Good location

The property is in a great location. It was between the 2 town squares we like to go to for dinner and music. It was also close to an adult pool which was really nice.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The layout of the house was perfect. We didn't mind having Toby more spices and seasonings as we were there for almost 3 months. The cleaning staff could have done a more thorough job of cleaning the mold in the toilets and shower, but I cleaned myself. The property managers were not prompt in returning calls. The view of the golf course across the street was very peaceful, the neighbors were very friendly and welcoming. But the owners,can't say enough about the superb hospitality and generosity they have for their vacationers. Would rate them 100% perfect. Would definitely stay again.

Winter Get Away

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent six weeks at this property as a winter escape from our midwest winter. The home is spacious but lacks any outdoor area to enjoy the weather (only two chairs on the front sidewalk and nothing at the back of the house). House is on a very busy street (St. Charles) with heavy traffic and noisy all day long. It's a good area to be in just not this location. Kitchen is not very well equipped if you want to do much cooking. Neighborhood was only semi friendly. Villages facilities were very close by. Golf course view was nice with great morning sunrises. Overall, we would not rent this house again.

Very disappointed with this company - only the owner was local and most helpful!! Still waiting on our deposit 3 weeks later - just not good enough. How is it that they can take the $ immediately but it takes 3 weeks to return... or more as we haven't received it as yet.
