Your perfect mountain retreat in Telluride,ideal for your ski vacation or to enjoy the multitude of outdoor,musical and cultural activities over summer.

Located among the ski slopes of Telluride's Mountain Village amidst aspens and fir trees and handcrafted in timber with 4 bedrooms, a large loft, games room and 4 and a half bathrooms, this fantastic family home combines comfort with luxury in a very convenient location.In winter you can ski out to the Double Cabin ski trail which is also just an easy 120 yard walk away. When the famous Colorado snow melts away the supermarket, liquor store and gondola are a very short walk away.

Owned by well travelled Australians who think Telluride provides the best overall skiing experience in the world providing runs for all standards from beginner to extreme skier or boarder, every effort has been made to ensure that 'EUREKA' will be your home away from home.

All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and flatscreen cable tv. The home has 2 master suites with king beds.One has a steam shower and deep soaker tub. The other master suite has a shower,soaker tub and its own gas fireplace.The 2 guest rooms can be set up as kings or twins depending on your needs. The flexible bedding configuration makes the home ideal for 4 couples or 2 families with children. Each bedroom with its own attached bathroom means no lines to get into the bathroom.

Upstairs the very private and large loft has a very comfortable double sleeper lounge when you are not watching cable tv or streaming on the big screen .It is also an ideal area for the kids with retro denim beanbags.

Children and adults alike can enjoy the 7 foot pool table in the loft games room and the large hot tub on the back deck.

The home has spectacular views of the San Sophia Mountains that can be enjoyed from many rooms in the home or while you relax in the hot tub.

No need to bring your car as Mountain Village provides a free door to door Dial a Ride which can take you to shops ,restaurants,the supermarket and liquor store and the gondola. The Mountain Village and the town of Telluride are connected by a free gondola, public transport at its best!

In summer, enjoy all Telluride has to offer in scenery, outdoor activities,hiking,4x4 trails to old mining ruins, fantastic mountain biking options and Telluride's large number of festivals.
The word "Eureka"became an indelible part of the history of Australian democracy when gold miners revolted against petty officialdom at the Eureka Stockade in the Victorian goldfields in 1854.
"Eureka "'has long been associated with gold.Derived from a Greek word meaning "I have found it" it was made famous when uttered by Archimedes at the time he discovered a means of measuring the density and thus the purity of gold.In more recent times it has become the exclamation of prospectors lucky enough to strike it rich.

Even better than anticipated!!

Our stay at Eureka exceeded our expectations in many ways! The communication from the host was very informative; responses were quick and helpful. The house was even better than the photos portrayed. The kitchen was well stocked for us to cook large family meals for 10 people. The check-in and check-out was easy

Beautiful views from a lovely home

The views from the living room are incredible!The house was beautiful with a very flexible sleeping arrangements. The house is filled with higher-end appliances and features that made for a comfortable stay.We encountered a problem with oven on our stay, but the owner made arrangements for a toaster oven until the oven could be repaired. Problems arise, it's how they're dealt with that is the difference.I highly recomend this property.

Well appointed home

well appointed home and the kitchen had everything you needed and then some. Plenty of room for family and friends. Ski out was interesting. ski in was about 150 yards... Expensive time of year to stay. Telluride is a great town and great ski Mountain.

Christmas 2024-Telluride

The owners have for a wonderful job in creating a great space for a large family gathering. Each of our adult couples has their own space, own bathrooms and the house had plenty of great space to gather. The furnishings and decor was well done and comfortable. The access to Mountain Village and downtown Telluride was great. Skiing was awesome and everyone loved the trip/experience! Only negative was is snowed 4” the morning we checked out but that will just make us want to come back again. Great hosts, great home, great memories!

Family Ski Trip; March 2022

Eureka is the perfect property for a Telluride ski trip. We traveled with our adult children and their significant others and the house is set up perfectly to spread out AND come together for food, after skiing gathering around the fire, and enjoying the hot tub. Ski-Out was literally across the driveway and ski-in was just a short walk from a well marked trail. The check-in procedure was simple (a code was provided) and everything was as advertised. You do not need a car, as there are gondolas and a ride service to get you to your destination. I would highly recommend this house and will likely return in the near future. Thank you John and Catherine for allowing us to use your mountain paradise home.

Perfect family getaway!

It was a pleasure to work with Jon and the home is absolutely amazing. We had multiple families with 9 people. The detailed instructions shared made our trip a breeze. The location was perfect, rave reviews from the skiers in the group on the ski in ski out access. All age groups enjoyed the hot tub and pool table! We used Dial a ride often to get to the gondola and town. Perfect location and simple access to so many things.

Eureka is Amazing!

My family and I stayed at Eureka during à February ski trip and the home was awesome. The views are spectacular. The house is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen has more than enough cooking utensils to aid in cooking family meals which we did most nights. There are four bedrooms all with your own bathroom which is pretty great! It is ski out on a trail next to the side o the garage onto double cabin and coming back to the house is a trail off double cabin at the Y that can be taken to a street just around the corner to the house. An easy short walk even though it's up hill a little. Our five year old did it with no problem both ways. We will be back! The owners and management crew were very attentive.

Great Spot for our Family Gathering

My wife and I, along with our three kids and their spouses, and our 18 month old grandson, decided on a family get together in Telluride. We couldn’t have picked a better place. “Eureka” was a fantastic place to call home for a week. It is a well-appointed, well-cared for property that slept out 8-adults comfortably, along with the little guy. We never felt “on top of each other”. The view out the living room picture window is breath-taking, and only gets better sitting in the hot-tub on the deck. Access to in/out skiing is quite easy, and with dial-a-ride, access to Mountain Village, and Telluride via Gondola is very enjoyable. Great owners, who communicate clearly and promptly. We’ll come back here again if we get another opportunity.

Beautiful Mountain Village Property

This house had beautiful views, was very comfortable and clean, had a fully stocked kitchen, a fabulous hot tub, and was a cozy and wonderful place for our annual family ski vacation. We would definitely return!

House with great location and views

Great views is an understatement when describing this property. It is ideally located in a quiet cut-de-sac in the mountain village with a deck and living room looking out to spectacular mountain vistas. The house itself is very well equipped. There is nothing we needed that wasn't provided. We did most of our eating in and the kitchen had everything we could possibly want to prepare our meals. The beds were very comfortable and the house had plenty of space for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the short path to the gondola for daily visits into town. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Stunning View

This property is even better than the photos. The views are absolutely stunning! The property is beautiful, clean and has every convenience you could want. Also, the location is ideal for Mountain Village. It is convenient for using the gondola and going to the store. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary there with our family and couldn’t have picked a better place!

Fabulous property

Our multi-age group had a marvelous time in this unique property. The view from the deck is stunning, even with rooftops of neighboring houses below. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Eureka… this home is a great find!

Perfect Telluride Mountain House!

Everything about this house was perfect! The bedrooms all have their own bathrooms, the upstairs area was a great hangout area for our kids and the large deck had amazing views. The location of the house is ideal - short walk to the gondola and market. We used dial-a-ride at night which was super easy. John and Catherine were wonderful hosts! We would definitely stay here again.
