We received a very warm welcome from Lin and, for the one night that we stayed, we found the top floor bedroom cosy, well equipped and immaculately clean. The freshly cooked breakfast was very tasty. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovley clean room and bathroom. 2nd floor room with quite steep stairs, no lift so beware if you are not very agile! Room 6 is basically in the roof, OK in winter but would be very warm in summer and noisy with gulls around as overlooking the other rooftops. Toilet had a macerator which was noisy and didn't quite flush properly once or twice - wouldn't like that again! Loose dog in the hallway when I came back from walk- barking and growling so rang bell for owner to come out. It was owner's dog but a little concerning if you are wary around dogs. Breakfast was excellent and tea facilities in room were good. Shower room ensuite was good and v clean. Parking is tight but good that you can park at the property as it's very limited in Shaldon. Overall, nice stay for 1 night. Expedia details differ - check out is 10.30am not 11am, online check in link didn't work so had to ring property to find out how to check in. You don't! You just turn up and somebody will give you the key to the room.

We had an excellent stay at this B&B and would definitely recommend it and go back. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and a really good size. The shower was small but it had to be to fit it in! (Room 5) The shower was very hit and miss temperature wise but we told Linda(? - the owner) when we left and she was going to get it sorted. Make sure when you park that you drive in forward and reverse out. The parking is tight, but works! Lovely location and so quiet!

Great little hotel in the heart of Shaldon

Hotel was well situated in the heart of the village, easy to locate with plenty of onsite parking. Next door to a great pub with good food. Room was very clean and tidy with a sea view. Breakfast was really good. Very friendly place, would definitely stay again if in the area.

This is a lovely little hotel in the heart of a quiet waterside village. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and we always stay here when visiting.

Wonderful pre-Christmas stay.

This was the second or third time we’d stayed at Potters Mooring. We were expecting a double room but Linda gave us an entire cottage! It was so comfortable, warm and cosy and even had a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Everything was top class and the breakfast was wonderful. They had thought of everything.

The charm of the old building responds very well with the interior design. The staff provides excellent service and makes you feel welcome. The place is very very clean, cosy and comfortable.

Great, comfortable stay.

Stayed one night on business, but ideal for a couples looking to visit and explore the local area. Good WiFi and free view tv if you want to relax. Water and fresh milk provided in a minim fridge and good quality tea/coffee. Parking available but access is tight. Room was really clean and bed was very comfortable, both really good size. Breakfast was very nice. Pub right next door which did great food. Would stay again.

We were walking put in what they call the cottage, which has several dangerous aspects ,one is the low head room at the bottom of the stairs both of us hit our heads and a high floor strip to the main bedroom couple with low head height. The worst aspect was the proprietor being away on holiday and temporary staff were in charge the young lady serving was very good but the stand, in stand in chef was poor. I had Smoked haddock and was immediately sick and informed the staff. Sickness became worse and we had to cancel South West Coastal walk and all forward B&B, luggage handling and train bookings. Arrived home went to doctors who called ambulance, spent 3 days in hospital who confirmed food poisoning. Owner refunded night`s stay but this in no way compensated for all the other pain, hassle and costs incurred. Owner said he would notify Environmental Agency but not sure if he has, but now I am out of hospital they have advised I need to.

Teingmouth delight

Lovely little hotel. Room was nice with lovely views across the Teignmouth bridge. Nice breakfast and very friendly staff. Highly recommend

A perfect stay!

Just what I needed - a clean, well appointed room with such a comfortable bed, in the perfect location. The breakfast was superb and the hosts were welcoming and accommodating. I would certainly recommend and would love to stay again. Thank you!
