Whispering Cedar Lodge is a spacious 4 bedroom/4 bathroom home with central air conditioning and over 4400 square feet of living space for up to 14 guests. The Lodge also has an oversized kitchen and island with dining table that seats 10. 3 HD TVs -90" in movie room, 70" in living room and 55" in Master Suite.

We had a family member getting married at the lake and this was the perfect house to fit a bunch of us for the weekend. Plenty of space, clean, and stocked with the necessities we would need for the weekend.

Our stay was incredible. Our family rented this place 8 years ago and it was amazing to return! Our family had a place up on the lake for over 50 years, but sold it a couple years back, so it was so nice to come back to the area. We loved our stay and created many wonderful memories here. We hope to rent it again soon!

Large home with great view

Overall this is a nice place for a large group. We have stayed here two years in a row and would stay again. House could definitely use a few things. Kitchen has several items but zero wine glasses. Outdoor area furniture is very poor condition. Staircase is not great and we had one person fall halfway down due to the carpet. Hopefully the management company starts to update some things.

Beautiful Property..a little outdated interior

This is a wonderful house with lots of room for all. We really have enjoyed staying here for several years on Easter Weekend. Concerns are that the furniture is not comfortable and some is in poor condition. The grill was pretty much rusted out but we found a way to make it work. Just would be perfect is the interior was upgraded to match the location and size of the house.

Hubbard -summer 2024

Fantastic stay at this place. The cabin is huge and spacious- so it is terrific for a group. Communication with owner/caretaker is very good. Everything we needed for our stay. Definitely bring some water shoes - area is rocky walking in the water- but water was warm and clear! Struck out fishing. :( Maybe next time!

Big!

This is a very large, yet livable, house. The kitchen and dining area allowed our 12 person group to cook and eat together. Sleeping arrangements were great and having two bathrooms on each floor was awesome. The yard was spacious and allowed us to play plenty of badminton with the lake view. Overall a very good experience and the host was very responsive.

Annual friends trip

Great location on the lake and a big home for a large group. The home was very accommodating, but the AC could not keep up with the outside heat, especially the upstairs. The pontoon boat was not clean, so we did not use. Note to owner: provide a list of how to and where to instructions to renters (how to turn on TV and stereo system, fans, where to go for supplies and activities, etc.) around the area. One last thing, the tub/ shower was very slippery! One of our guests slipped and fell in the shower and hurt his leg, it could have been worst. Please put non-slip mats or some other traction in the showers to avoid injury. Just helpful suggestions, otherwise we appreciated your hospitality and communications prior to arrival!

Beautiful cabin on Hubbard Lake

My family of 14 enjoyed our stay. Cabin had plenty of room to accommodate us perfectly. Cabin was full stocked with bedding, towels, dishes and cookware. The property manager was so kind and responded to my questions quickly. Teens loved the upstairs deck to have a place of their own to tan. Lake was beautiful. The cabin comes highly recommended.

Very spacious lake house

The pictures don’t do this place justice with the space available in this home. It was perfect for our family get together with family from 2 months old - 82. Very well stocked and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Reel Dreams 2024

Beautiful house on east bay of Hubbard lake. Had a wonderful time with friends and family. Ice conditions were good. Our tournament went well. Caught a few perch. Already looking forward to next year.

Mini vacation

Beautiful house. Numerous plates, glasses and silverware. Only concern is that part of the instructions was to wash, dry and fold all towels but the dryer took over 2 hours to dry the towels and check out time was at 10am and the towels were not done in time to be able to fold before checkout.

Excellent

It was a excellent stay, had good time with group of families. It perfectly works for 4 families. Just 30 min distance to Alpena. The facilities provided in the house are too good. The lake view is awesome and enjoyed the sun rise in early morning with lake view.

Amazing place!

We had a great time. House was everything we could have hoped for. Large enough that we could all gather comfortably inside when the weather didn't cooperate. Will definitely be back when we come north for other family events.
