"We were on a cycle trip Lands End to John O'Groats, and the hotel was fairly close to the route. We were able to get a meal at night and the breakfast was fine too. Hotel were able to offer safe and secure storage for the bike. The hotel is quite a historic building and could perhaps do with some refurbishment, but it had a nice touch of charm about it and the staff were very friendly. "

"Despite an exchange of emails with the hostess where I clearly indicated the time I would be arriving (including the time of the ferry's arrival), there was no answer when I called in. After a very stressful 15 minutes and a good number of phone calls both to the landline and the mobile numbers, the hostess appeared in her gown. "This was a beautiful property. The surrounding area was picturebook. We had a very good meal and a good, comfortable sleep. My only issue is the roads were very difficult getting there, so I could not recommend to a tourist with no experience with the narrow roads and remote location."

"The couple who run the hotel are very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is nicely decorated. My room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. The breakfast is all cooked to order and very tasty, especially the scrambled eggs which were the nicest I've eaten. I had some interaction with the other guests at breakfast and everyone seemed relaxed and happy."

"We stayed just one night at The Burrator Inn but what a lovely stay. We had a tasty dinner before retiring to our large, well furnished, comfortable bedroom. The room was warm and welcoming with a good en suite bathroom. The breakfast menu was excellent, and the staff friendly and efficient. We would certainly recommend it to our friends."

"The proprietors were welcoming and very helpful with dietary intolerances. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The food was tasty and plentiful, proper food, not that novelle cuisiine nonsense. The beer was well-brewed and truly tasty. The parking was a bit cramped but nothing that any reasonably competent driver could not cope with. We would definitely stay there again."
