Quiet and Cozy Cottage just a stone's throw from Kina Beach!

Kina Cottage is a peaceful holiday bach (traditional New Zealand holiday home) made up of 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom in a seaside location just 50m from Kina Beach!

Situated between the Abel Tasman National Park and Nelson City the cottage is also handy to Mapua-Ruby Bay and the Mapua Wharf restaurants, Moutere wineries & Motueka township.

It is just a short walk from the beach & a short drive from the golf course & two wonderful cafes - Jester House & The Tasman Store.

The cottage has always been a quiet, delightful home to holiday at with the reserve & the beach nearby, a safe beach to play/swim at, a great golf course nearby & 2 great cafes just a short drive away.

**Special conditions & notes**:

- Strictly no party, gatherings or venue use. No Smoking. Pets are not permitted.

- The cottage is on rain-fed tank water. While tanks are sufficient for Summer use, careful use & minimisation of wastage is essential.

**Cancellation, COVID travel restrictions, Compassionate Circumstances**:

- Please disregard the "Bookings at this property are non-refundable" information presented on this listing site.

- Cancel anytime up until 3 weeks before arrival for any reason and you'll pay no more than 20% of the booking total + VRBO/affiliate site fees.

- We will provide free postponement of your booking in the event of government travel restrictions, serious illness or other eligible compassionate circumstances.

Relax

A quintessential old style NZ batch but with very comfortable beds and fresh linen provided. We had a lovely relaxing holiday at Kina Cottage reminiscent of childhood beach holidays, wonderful.

Our stay

Great location A few items in the house were old and, as advertised, it is a bach. Uncomfortable couch and one dining chair with a very suspect leg We were charged $35 extra for a cot for two nights, which seemed to be in a cupboard, so readily available, which seemed a bit steep, as we had paid quite a bit for the stay overall. It is a lovely summer location.

Enjoyed our stay in this bach. Plenty of warmth from the woodburner and other heaters. Also plenty of extra blankets and towels.

Home away from home

Great property, has everything you need! Cozy warm and stone throw away from the beach. I loved how child friendly the place was with puzzles games and children books. The bedroom layout has changed from the photos and a new bunk set has been added to the room with two single beds to provide a double with single top. This layout still suited our stay.

Nice cottage but terrible beds

The cottage is nice and in an excellent location. It is cozy with a nice wood fire. Everything you need is there. But the beds were terrible and many of the pillows as well. Also the bedding and bedroom furniture were very musty. However the sheets were fresh and the towels new. Because of the beds, we would not stay again.

Great summer break

Kina Cottage is close to the beach, with plenty of things to do in the Tasman region. House is comfortable for a family with sunny gardens as well.

Kina Beach

This place is a little gem, and quite a bit bigger than I expected it to be. The decor is retro and very cute. The location and beach is utter bliss, actually felt miserable leaving to head to Nelson for a few days. We will be back!

Great little Bach in a lovely location

Excellent location. Had everything we needed. Would have been nice if the lawns had been mowed before we got there instead of on the 2nd to last day of our 10 day stay but this was a small issue. The previous occupants had left their rubbish out on the berm in the incorrect council rubbish bag; however the property manager did change it to the correct rubbish bag but didn't take it away so there was smelly rubbish out the front of the property until rubbish day. Would definitely stay at this Bach again.
