Steps To The Beach in the Heart of Tamarindo

Steps to the pool and beach, walking distance to great local and international restaurants and shopping, warm water, friendly people, great night life and a professional re-decorated, yet comfortable, clean, spacious home all await you in Tamarindo. Comfortably sleeps six, luxury mattresses, repainted, new appliances, wifi, and room safe. Four stage drinking water system. Only 1 hour from Liberia International Airport with lots of cheap transfer options.

This first floor unit has three bedrooms, two full baths and lots of comfortable spaces both inside and out. Lounge by the pool, walk to the beach (just bring flip flops to cross the street), and stroll to great international and local restaurants. Home includes 2 TV's, DVD, internet, cable, washer, dryer, dishwasher, along with toaster, coffee maker, blender, dishes and utensils. Surfing (and affordable surf lessons, ask for Juan) right outside the condo. Two great second-floor balcony restaurants available without crossing the street.

We were contacted pretty early by the concierge in case we needed help with bookings etc. (we did with a diving booking). They're also very responsive if there are issues (our safe needed to be reset). Whatsapp is the way to go for quick responses. The property itself is quite amazing, part of a complex with a pool, just a minute from the beach, and a couple of supermarkets around the corner as well, plus some great lunch/ dinner options. If coming by car, there's a designated parking spot as well. It's all very safe. Highly recommend!

This is a lovely condo in a complex with a nice large swimming pool. It is on the first floor. The kitchen was complete and there was a full-size washer and dryer. The place was not loud although you do see some foot traffic walking past your kitchen window from the condo.There is a king bed in one room, a queen bed in another room, and two single beds in the third room. The single beds are quite high off the ground which is not a problem for us with teenagers but may not be ideal for very young children. There were a few small markets near the condo where we picked up items to cook. Larger grocery stores were a little less than a mile walk.To get to the beach you walk across the street and take a right about 100 yards or more where you can find an entrance right onto the beach. You can go the other direction and walk through the hotel Diria lobby and go to the beach. The beach was amazing with a little more than a mile of beach to walk. There are numerous restaurants and shops when you go to the street and take a left. Hotel Diria, a well-known hotel is about a short walk in that same direction. You then get to the main commercial/tourist area.The only problem we had with the unit was a leak of water from the air-conditioning. Someone did come promptly to repair it but the air condition continued to leak water and unfortunately due to the language barrier I was not clear if the repair person thought the AC was fixed.Highly recommend this condo.

Great location

Great location if you want to stay close to the beach and also have walking access to restaurants on the beach, but don't want to spend to be directly on the beach. The surf shops were an easy walk. The unit was closest to a public beach that was really busy when we arrived on Saturday. It was less busy on the days that followed and it had waves for the kids to boogie board. The water temp was also great.The unit is on the first floor of the building so it was easy for the kids to go back and forth to the pool. Tour shuttles easily picked us up there, since we did not have a car. It was also close to the main street shopping area of Tamarindo. Bonnie, the host, was very responsive to questions and concerns.

Seconds to the beautiful sunsets of Tamarindo

Absolutely perfect location to enjoy the beach town of Tamarindo. Would definitely stay again. Check in was a bit annoying but doable and clear instructions.

Great location, safe, hot showers, great kitchen!

We had a great stay with 3 adults and 2 teenagers. Was very close walking distance to shops and beach. Had great, hot showers, which are evidently not common in Costa Rica. Awesome spot right by the pool, and the pool felt great! The only recommendation I would have is that the TVs would have access to Netflix or something so you could choose to watch something other than what was on the television.

Perfect location in Tamarindo!! Ideal for families.

We just returned from a magical week in Costa Rica, and this property was ideal!! The location is perfect in every way - on the ground floor of a beautiful gated condo complex (no stairs!) in the heart of Tamarindo. Bounce out the patio door directly to the pool (complete with waterfall) or continue a few steps to the beach. Easy walking to all shops and restaurants so you won't need a car (but there is a private dedicated parking spot directly out front if you decide to rent one). The unit is impeccably clean and beautifully furnished with a well-equipped kitchen and newer washer/dryer. The set up could not have been more ideal for our family of four (our kids are 10 and 5). There is a small market right next door with all of the essentials. We loved having the option to cook for our picky littles and the ability to wash sandy clothes without paying outrageous hotel laundry fees. We will be back!!

Location, Location, Location!

Bonnie's place was clean, comfortable, and convenient to the beach, restaurants, groceries, and activities. Six year old grandson loved the swimming pool. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Tamarindo.

Safe, well- furnished, and close to everything!

We were very happy with our stay at Sunrise, the unit we stayed in was on the ground floor and had a nice barbeque which was lovely for poolside meals. The beach was very close, and we had breakfast at a few restaurants right outside the gate. The beds were very nice, furniture looked new, and we felt comfortable and safe with the security staff at the front of the area. Would definitely recommend, and we plan to come back again next year!

Fantastic stay in the heart of Tamarindo!

We had a fantastic stay in this Tamarindo Sunrise condominium! From our first contact with the owner, Bonnie, to our check-out, everything was superb! The unit is clean, comfortable and well equipped (kitchen, pool gear, beach towels, TVs, etc). The location in the heart of Tamarindo makes going out to restaurants, cafes, shops, grocery, pharmacy, activities - really anything - a breeze. The dedicated parking space is invaluable. Ground floor location allows walkout to patio with grill and immediate access to the beautiful and private pool. The beautiful beach is a few minutes walk. The owner's recommendations of restaurants and things to do were excellent! We whole heartedly recommend staying here. We plan to return!

Amazing Stay!

The property was very clean, had security, close to every shop, restaurants, and across the street from the beach! The host had a great list of restaurants and things to do which made our first time in Tamarindo easy to navigate and plan. There is also an in unit washer/dryer which was great. The pool was lovely. Highly recommend!

Less than ideal

Location is great-we have stayed at various units in Tamarindo Sunrise over the past 9 years. Some units are really nice and others are average, appearing as if the owners reinvest little into the unit. This unit is the latter of those two options. The safe could not be used however the owner and manager were willing to have their staff access our room for a few hours to fix. After one of the workers was there for over an hour with little progress, we decided to forego having them attempt to replace the safe-not ideal but neither is having strangers in your room leaving the front door wide open while you are at the beach. One of the burners of the stove didn’t work and the dishwasher repeatedly overflowed suds onto the floor. We don’t expect perfection, but if you are aware as the owner, of certain issues they should be fixed. It also appears that there might be a termite issue around several of the door frames as something is either eating them away or they are rotting. Walls are very dirty and in severe need of painting. This unit could be really nice, but on our next trip, we will be certain to book a different unit or stay at the Diria Condos altogether. On a positive note, the outdoor grill was great and worked perfectly. Overall I give this place a C-.

Best location in Tamarindo

The location could literally not be any better. 2 minute walk to the beach and downtown restaurants, yet the facility has security and is completely set back from any of the noise. Bonnie was kind enough to make some dinner reservations and warned us that it is the busiest week of the year. The restaurants were great and the staff treated us as heroes for being "friends of Bonnie's". Can't wait to return.

Perfect location in Tamarindo

This location was perfect for our family of 4. It is a short walk across the street to the public beach access, lots of restaurants and shops to walk to as well. Everything I needed was in the kitchen, and there were plenty of fluffy towels for both the shower and the beach. The washer and dryer were larger and seemed brand new - this was a plus for washing the towels mid week and not having to pack as many clothes. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Oh I almost forgot to mention being on the first floor was perfect, we could walk out right to the pool that is literally a few feet from the patio. The patio is also shaded at all times of the day, which is perfect for breakfast, lunches, etc. Received lots of great information from the owner and she was very responsive to all my questions and suggestions. Thanks!

Perfect location!

The location of this property is perfect. A short walk gets you to any restaurant or the beach yet it’s tucked behind a shopping center and is very quiet. Highly recommend!

We loved staying at this property. Excellent communication between both property manager and owner. Excellent location: across the street from beautiful beach and close to many stores and restaurants. Beautiful pool. Very clean (and we are picky with cleanliness). Owner very responsive to suggestions to replace a couple of minor items. We would return to this property in a heartbeat (family of 6: parents, and 4 kids ages 19, 16, 12, and 8.) My daughters wanted me to add that the highlight for her at this property was seeing the 2 adorable kitties that visited us everyday on our patio. She cried saying goodbye to them again.

Fourth Time in the Sunrise

This is one of if not the nicest condos that we stayed in at the Sunrise Condos in Tamarindo. Huge bonus for being on the first floor with easy access to the pool and parking area. We checked in slightly before 3 and the maids were still working. They did a great job and came back twice during our 11 day trip. Furnishing were in great shape and we had a comfortable bed. Wifi worked perfect. No complaints. Will definitely try to book Sunrise 13 again.
