    Please note:

    Shared property – landlord’s unit is in front and next door for any requests.

    Bring your own towels, linens, blankets, pillows, paper products, cleaning supplies, and perishables (linens available upon request for an extra charge before check-in).

    Bathroom is on the second level of both units.

We had a wonderful time, and the condo was perfect for our needs. It was very close to everything and a nice set up for a family with a toddler. The host was very responsive to our needs, and it was very family friendly. The sunsets here are to die for! Thank you for a great day!

Family Get Away Before Baby

This was our last family vacation before our new arrival and it was amazing! Weather, location, & property was all A+ ! Definitely recommend and definitely would stay here again!

Great little place by a giant lake, with a cool little carnival (closed for the season at the time we stayed) and restaurants within walking distance. ONE BONE TO PICK would be the absence of linens towels and pillows. While I think it’s a little unusual and have never encountered in my stays elsewhere (who travels with ALL of that stuff? Linens?) and I guess it’s the host’s right to not provide to reduce costs, this element was not made apparent, which I think it needs to be. It’s totally on me for not reading the fine print, but unless I overlooked it elsewhere, this aspect wasn’t mentioned until 2 or 3 pages/clicks in, twds the bottom. This doesn’t take away from how lovely the place and stay was but it was a bit odd and frustrating not to have these things.

Definitely enjoyed our stay. Easy access to the beach. Nice to have outdoor space to use along with the great indoor space. Very clean and having air conditioning was a definite plus.

Fun getaway

Cute little place to stay for a few nights. Very clean. Right by the beach. Grill and stove definitely need to be updated, but worked well enough. Everyone had a great time and we all agree that we would go back.

Delightful stay in Sylvan Beach

Being close to the beach was important to me and this is exactly what we got. House was clean and it's location was superb. We ended up staying an additional night and property owners were very cooperative in making this possible. We had beautiful weather and the beach was not overcrowded. We just loved it here. Special Thanks to our Hosts for making this possible.

Family Vacation

We were there for a family vacation. and the property was perfect. Our granddaughters loved the beach and it was so convenient with the house right there. The place was very clean and Sara was great to deal with. You could walk to everything and there is a nice amusement park down the road that the girls loved. I would definitely recommend this place and we will be staying again in the future.

This place is all you need

We stay here annually and it’s fantastic. You have beach access, convenient parking, and can walk everywhere. Park the car Friday and don’t move it until Sunday when we leave. The host is very accommodating and provides anything you may need. I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking to enjoy sylvan beach or the surrounding areas.

Relaxing Getaway

Third year coming back to this property. This year my son and family rented one side and my daughter, husband, myself and my husband rented the other side. Beautiful spot for a family getaway just steps from the beach. Sunsets are amazing and shallow water and beach great for the kids. Looking forward to next year.

Get-away with The Grands

It was our 2nd year & didn't disappoint. Parking was a little difficult because it was a weekend & tourist filled our spots, but around dusk we had our spot available. Location is great, within walking distant to food, beach & entertainment. Planning year 3!

Great stay on beautiful Oneida!

We loved staying at this cottage and I got to watch the sunset with a glass of wine and a good book! We were in town for a family event and had to bring our dog. Staying here was definitely a good choice as everyone near the property were super friendly and the lake was gorgeous! There was also a perfect dog friendly park right across the street! We got super lucky with nice weather in October! I’d love to come back in the summer when the town is bustling and the coffee shack right next door is open! I highly recommend this lake cottage even in the off season. Thank you so much to the owners for having us!

Great place for our small family

You can walk out the door barefoot and head straight onto the beach! Huge expanse of shallow water and and small waves on windy days were perfect for my kids. The house is simple, but suited our needs perfectly. My only small gripe is despite bringing our towels, sheets, and blankets - we were also missing things like dish towels, a bathmat, and a hand towel for the bathroom. A quick trip to Dollar General fixed that problem. Knowing that for next time, we would certainly come back!

Great location for beach / walking

Prime location for walking to restaurants and beach access! Host was very responsive to my questions and let us check-in a little early. Inside looked just like the photos. When they say no paper or cleaning products they mean it - no hand soap, dish soap, garbage bags, paper towels. There was TP but no refill so I left the one I brought for the next guests. Stairs to the upstairs are narrow and would not be great for anyone with a mobility issue. The floors were swept but had not been mopped in a while. Would stay again for a friendcation but not with my children, you could hear every drunk conversation happening outside. Recommend bringing socks/slippers.

Great location

Great location. Never moved our vehicle in the three day we were there. Walked to everything. Cottage was older but quite clean. Upstairs bedrooms/bathroom have NO air or fan in bathroom. No cleaning products left for us, no pot holders, sponges or dish soaps. We had to shop for a few items when we got there. No interaction with property owners whatsoever. We cleaned the oven as it was left pretty yucky from the previous rentals. Lamps throughout did not work. Maybe just burned out bulbs. Night light in bathroom did not work. No lock on screen door to the main road. All in all, a great family vacation with our adults boys. Great location. Cute old cottage with access to beach. We left it almost as clean as we found it. Nothing was left to mop the floor with.

My kids loved it (15,14,10). The neighborhood was very blue collar. Safe (one annoying meth head in the park who asks for money). My kids walked around with no issues. We were there for seven nights and we’d stay there again. Pros: You literally walk out a walkway and you’re in the sand. There’s an enclosed area to grill and chill. Also a designated table overlooking the beach with a private beach entrance literally into the sand. There is a dog friendly walking area across the street. Follow the sidewalk and it leads to the playground and the amusement park which is only open weekends. Arcade cash only. Cons (more like pointers): Not private at all. The houses are all on top of each other and the back of the house is ten feet from the landlord. You can see into each other’s properties while you do the dishes. The permanent neighbor is 420 friendly and our unit filled up with stench on several occasions. The rental comes with beds, dressers, a shower curtain, pots, and dishes. There was nothing more. You have to bring your own soaps and toilet paper and paper towels, and a sponge to do the dishes and there was no dish drying rack, which was a pain. Bring towels and pillows and blankets and a towel for the kitchen. No laundry on site was a BIG BUMMER for our week-long stay. There’s a laundromat a few blocks away, but it’s not walkable with a basket! Also it’s five to wash and dry but you need couple extra quarters dryer to get anywhere near dry. Open 7a-5p on 15th

The best part of this place was the location. I was down there with friends for a volleyball tournament, and having walk-out access to the beach was really convenient (as was the hose by the door to rinse sand off before going in). Sara was easy to communicate with, and worked with me to figure out a convenient check-out time (for an extra fee). The listing was a bit confusing to me, in that your rental isn't right on the beach, but rather behind the owner's house, which is. However, there's a patio area (shared between the owners and the other attached rental) that walks right out on the beach which was great. I always feel it's a bit uncomfortable when the owner is so close to your rental property, like you're being watched all of the time (however, they did absolutely nothing to make us feel that way, so maybe that's just a personal issue I should work on). The listing was clear that there's not much provided besides dishes and utensils, but that does make for a much larger packing list (sheets, pillows, towels, toilet paper, paper towel, garbage bags, etc.). The three upstairs rooms were not big, but were sufficient for our needs, and even had enough room to squeeze in a pack-n-play. The appliances worked, there was a grill outside the door, and the smart-tv and WiFi worked well. Overall, this property was a bit on the pricey side and didn't come with many amenities, but the owners were nice and easy to deal with, the location was excellent, and we had a great stay.
