The perfect location

This property was absolutely incredible: the views, the space, the privacy, the amenities, it was all perfect for meeting our needs. Additionally, hosts Charlie and Barbara were accommodating, gracious, and so helpful. We absolutely loved our time visiting Big Red and hope others will soon follow! It is the ideal location between Asheville and Black Mountain, and I cannot say enough!

Ladies Getaway!

Wonderful and scenic property close to many great sights. The house was clean and had terrific amenities. Charlie and Barb, the hosts, were there to great us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the property.

Hidden Gem

This was a great place for a family getaway! Charlie and Barbara met us at check in and gave us a tour of the property. We enjoyed all the amenities, especially the hot tub and fire pit. Our family loved the location which is just close enough to town but far enough away to the enjoy the privacy the property offers. We hope to stay here again.

Best Vrbo Stay Yet!!

This has to be our best rental yet. The house was immaculate and so comfortable. It was well stocked and so much to do just at the house, you never have to leave if you didn't want to! The view was great. The hosts were friendly and warm, greeting us upon our arrival. Great place to stay and we will definitely be back!

Peaceful Getaway

What a wonderful vacation in this lovely, spacious home! Clean, quiet and conveniently located between Asheville and Black Mountain. Owners were super nice and provided helpful recommendations about area dining and things to do. Spent hours on the covered patio taking in the mountain scenery and listening to the chorus of birds.

Loved our stay!

The communication with the hosts was thorough and so friendly. The house is absolutely amazing and great for sitting on the deck, having an outside fire at night, playing pool, cooking meals, etc. Highly recommend this home!

Great house near Asheville!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at this property. Very clean, spacious, modern and well-equipped. Enjoyed the views, hot tub and fire pit, as well as the pool table and foosball! Will definitely stay here again. The only small thing I would add is some plastic drinkware to use in the rec room and outside at the hot tub and fire pit. Thanks for a great stay!

Fantastic for family or group!

This was a wonderful place to stay! We came with 4 couples as a retreat and we all had a blast. The location is exactly as it was described on VRBO. It was a clean and well cared for property. ALL the beds in the house slept amazing, most comfortable any of us have had at a rental! The owners were very friendly and hospitable. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone!

40th Birthday celebration

We really enjoyed our stay! The owners were very accommodating for early and late check in and gave us a personal tour of the home. You can tell they take great care of the house, very clean, and well stocked. We loved the game room and hot tub. We were central to all activities, Pisgah national forrest, white water rafting, hot air balloon ride, breweries. And can’t beat the morning coffee view!!

40th birthday

We went to this location for my husbands 40th birthday. Its not to far from Ashville so you still enjoy the breweries. But if you just want a place to relax this is perfect! Isolated enough, great views, and so peaceful! Also Charlie and Barbara were amazing hosts! Anything that happened they fixed immediately! Would 100% stay here again!

Weekend of hiking

“Big Red” is a perfect place to stay for comfort, coziness and relaxation! The home has wonderful views from the porches, and I loved waking up to hearing birds singing while I drank coffee on the porch. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day of hiking. The hosts were wonderful and greeted us for a tour. Very easy check in and out. Overall a wonderful stay and I’ll be back but next time I’ll stay longer! I didn’t want to leave!

We actually loved this property! We were in Swannanoa for a wedding. Everything is accurate in the description, was very clean, and Charlie and Barbara are the best hosts ever! They met us when we got there and showed us everything; we had no problems! Throughly enjoyed the covered patio view of the mountains. Would highly recommend this property to anyone! Hoping in the future, we can visit them again :-) thanks again Charlie and Barbara for a wonderful vacation!
