This home is one of the best rental spots in Leelanau County!
How better to relax than by sitting on the dock of the pond observing the ducks and fish. Being patient and quiet may even afford you a look at some deer, otter, or other critters who pass through our wildlife sanctuary. But who can be quiet?

The cabin has oak wood floors, ceramic tile, carpet, and features two levels. A beautiful fully-furnished kitchen, dining, living room, a full bathroom, and two bedrooms are on the main level. The lower walk-out level offers a large bedroom with a full bathroom, family room, and laundry room.

A perfect location between Suttons Bay and Traverse City with public beaches and a D.N.R. boat launch are all within two miles. Black Star Farms is across the street if you are in the mood for wine and cheese. Leelanau Sands Casino is just a few miles up the road and has great year round entertainment.

This was a central location in Suttons Bay. The outside pond area was beautiful! But there are no paddleboards or paddleboats available. Also, the inside air quality was poor. Very musty in the basement. I woke up every morning with a stuffy nose. A dehumidifier and air purifier would help tremendously. Additionally, the fruit flies were awful. I understand there a vineyards around but they was ridiculous. All over our food and flying around our faces while eating. There are things to help get rid of them for your guest. Towels were thin and stained.

Wonderful deck area! A little noisy with traffic on M22. We liked having two levels with two living rooms. We walked a half mile down the busy road to the cidery- very nice cider and good view.

Wedding week in Michigan

We enjoyed this property. The separate levels were great for family space. The lights outside at night were magical. The house is located on a very busy highway which was very noisy. There was lots of privacy from all the surrounding trees. The owner was very helpful when we could not figure out the washing machine. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. We would stay here again.

Great Place

Enjoyed the lovely layout of the home! Thanks for being on VRBO! Would definitely rent again. The only negative was the curve in the road and hard to see much in advance with traffic behind.

Cherished Family Time

We enjoyed a relaxing stay at the Otter House. This cozy home offered plenty of space for my family vacation. We live in Arizona, and my son son lives in the Sutton’s Bay area so it was a great meeting spot to start our day to head out and explore. The house is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Even though the otters didn’t make an appearance for us as we hoped, we’d love to come back sometime in the future! The unbelievable serenity at night was the coolest thing ever to see all the lights sparkling up into the trees. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing home so my family could create lasting memories to cherish!

Family wedding

I booked this vrbo for my brothers family, my husband and myself. Its a little nerve wracking booking for others, but this location did not disappoint. We loved everything about this home. It was relaxing and private yet on the main drag, convenient to everything we did. Our niece was getting married so we had several functions to attend. The property was beautifully landscaped and well maintained. There were fireplaces on both levels and a chiminea on the lower deck, with plenty of chopped wood for our stay. The home was decorated very cute and comfortable and there were lots of local brochures for things to do in the area. We did not cook while we were there but the kitchen seemed well stocked. The owner was a text away for any questions or concerns. We highly recommend this property.

The perfectly located, & most cozy spot!

We, absolutely, loved our stay @ Otter Limits!! The house was perfectly located, in the middle of everywhere we wanted to be! It was cozy, comfortable, well stocked, and the outdoor ambiance was stellar! Loved the yard, pond, lights, fire pit, deck, chiminea, etc! We will, definitely, be visiting, again! Lovely home and very relaxing visit.

What a lovely place. It was perfect for our stay. The owner was fantastic and very helpful. The kitchen was very well stocked and there was everything in the home to make our stay very perfect. I was totally mesmerized by the solar lights that came on each night and lit the trees. They were beautiful and made the yard look like a fairy land. The deck and pond were just a great place to relax and unwind. The location was very convenient for everything that we wanted to do. We went to Suttons Bay for dinner at VI and visited many lovely stores in town. We attended a family wedding at Brengman's winery and purchased some cheese at Leelanau Cheese. Lots to do and so little time.

Great Quiet Place to Stay

It was a great place to stay in a relatively quiet area. The backyard pond was very serene, and the house was plenty spacious for our family of 5. My 3 boys were able to have their fun while having their own privacy due to the layout.

Great stay at Suttons Bay

The Otter Limits had everything our family of 6 adults needed for a fantastic reunion weekend. The house is roomy, comfortable, clean and well-maintained. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped. The deck and outdoor space is magical! We enjoyed gathering around a fire in the chiminea each night on the large deck. The location is convenient to both Suttons Bay and Traverse City, with the added bonus of the Leelanau Bike Trail nearby and the award-winning Leelanau Cheese Company right across the street!

Otter Creek

Second time staying here. This place is truly a diamond in the rough. Kids stay downstairs adults upstairs. Great and very unique setting. Perfectly located for all things in the Traverse City and Lenaway peninsula. Highly recommend.

Convenient and Comfortable

We had a nice stay the Otter Limits. Very good communications with owners and easy check-in. Loved the "magical lights". Convenient to Suttons Bay and many wineries as well as trails. Only complaint would be the road noise, especially at night.

Beautiful home conveniently located!

The house was very nice, well taken care of and very clean! The lay out of the home worked very well for our stay. The location of the property was very convenient for the sightseeing we wanted to get in. Each night we enjoyed having a fire in the fire pit while lounging on the deck and enjoying the beautiful scenery the deck overlooked! Defiantly would recommend others to stay there and would like to rent it again on my next vacation to that area!

4th visit to Otter Limits!

My sisters and I have stayed here for the last 4 years and we just love this home! The location is convenient to all the wineries in Leelanau, and TC is just 20 minutes away. The home is well appointed and very comfortable. I highly recommend! Dennis (owner) and Robyn (manager) know how to treat their guests- so responsive and accommodating. I can’t wait to come back next year!

Home Away From Home

Otter Limits absolutely amazing!

This was one of, if not the BEST experience we ever had. The property is magical, like being in a fairy tale. It was VERY clean, and everything you need is available. The location was a bonus as it was a very short distance to Traverse City and Suttons Bay. We had so much fun and we were very comfortable. We will definitely be back. The owner Dennis was amazing. He was very responsive, friendly, and it was an honor to stay at the property. 5 stars for sure. The Otter Limits is the place to be!

Leelanaw M22 getaway

Lovely home with private pond, lots of outdoor space all shaded. Special details outdoors included fire pit with wood provided, a unique outdoor tub room, night lights around pond and into the teees made evenings magical. The accomodations were great. Everything you need to cook at home, clean up etc. Beds and pillows were comfy. The lowerer level had a musty odor but it was eceptionally clean and fully functioning.
