"Bodde 4 netter på Mermaid i forbindelse med påsketur til Ipswich. Ankom byen med tog og gikk fra stasjonen opp til hotellet, ca. 20 min å gå. Veldig koselig hotell! Innsjekk i resepsjonen i puben, men rommene er i eget bygg 50 meter bortenfor. Utmerket pub, bar og lounge med godt utvalg i mat og drikke. Veldig trivelig familie-spisested med mulighet for å se sport på storskjermer. Rommet (dobbeltrom) var stort og helt greit med bad med badekar! Det var noe trafikkstøy fra veien rett utenfor, men...

"This is a basically C19th Inn, although some of it might be older. The room was clean and bright, the en-suite shower the same. Tea/coffee and kettle &c provided in the room. Bed fairly comfortable. Two things that were not so good: there was no hot water from the hand basin tap - no water at all in fact - and this could not be rectified until after the weekend (I booked in Saturday afternoon). All Ok in the shower. I could not open either the bedroom window nor the bathroom one, both sash...

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say is because it is a pub it can be a little loud if you are wanting and early night. This didn’t affect us but I know some people it will. The food in the pub was very tasty too. "

"My wife and I stayed overnight to meet up with family and have a meal together. The room was lovely, clean, and welcoming. Bathroom was modern and clean with good shower. The staff were very friendly and the service was great! We had a meal in the restaurant which was wonderful, the breakfast was equally as good! All in all a great stay and I can see us revisiting. "

"Stay was ok but just ok not great There is a heating controller on the wall by the door that doesn't work I eventually found a control on the radiator to turn up the heating The window was locked in an open position and therefore unable to lock out the noise from the road"

"Great accommodation in a barn at the back of the pub. All the staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast fabulous and evening food in the Cherry Tree is excellent and probably the best we have had since CoVID lockdowns kicked off."

"Great location for a last minute trip to the Suffolk Coast! Few minutes drive from Southwold. Very spacious and clean family room with a nice breakfast included. All staff we met were helpful and friendly. Would recommend. "

"Stopped here for the first time last night, for work, and what a lovely place it was to. Staff were extremely polite and the service was excellent throughout my stay. My room while not the largest I've stayed in was of a good size. A pleasing item in the room was a small flask containing real milk for a good old cupper, this is a rare find as most times you stop way they only provide that terrible hit milk, that spoils you first tea of the day. Food was of an excellent quality, I just wish I...
