Dies ist unsere Meinung, und soll nicht beleidigend und oder herabwürdigend sein: Ich bitte bei der nächsten Prüfung durch die WKO Fachgruppe, für das sogenannte Romantik Hotel Elixhausen die Standards eines 4 Sterne # Superior# genauestens zu überprüfen. Unter Romantik verstehen wir etwas ganz ganz anderes…. Der sog. Wellness Bereich ist eine Zumutung total veraltet….. Der Frühstücks Bereich ist gelinde gesagt mit den angebotenen Speisen definitiv eher Bahnhofs Feeling, überhaupt keine Atmosphäre, sehr laut und Selbstbedienung. Da der Spa Bereich, auch für Tagesgäste mit Frühstück angeboten wird, bleibt für den Hotelgast, wenig Spielraum das Konzept ist für den Gast nicht zufriedenstellend. Das Essen am Abend, Feinschmecker Menü war auch die Meinung anderer Gäste unterer durchschnitt. Nicht vom Preis her sondern von der Qualität.

Property is in a residential neighborhood about 15 minutes by bus to the main part of the city. We were able to walk to grocery stores and restaurants. Kitchen has only salt and pepper so come prepared if you intend to cook, but there is a coffee maker and tea provided. Bed was comfy. Free washer and dryer in basement which was wonderful. There is no elevator.

A wonderful hotel and everything in it is great—the location, cleanliness, and free parking are all excellent. However, the only downside is that no one came to clean the rooms during my 3-night stay, even though I had the cleaning sign hanging on the door.

The staff were very helpful and attentive. The coffee bar and seating area was nice after a long day of walking. The recommendation for traditional Austrian food at the Die Weisse restaurant and beer hall outside the main tourist areas was excellent. The bed was very comfortable, the hotel was situated well within the new town close to the old town. The breakfast was excellent.
