Love the veiw

A very nice place to stay great view of the lake and has a pool table and ping pong ( table tennis) and a Dart board plus a gym if you like that kinda stuff .. I have only one small problem, I didn’t realize I needed To bring my own wash cloths and trash bags .. They make it right by dropping some off .. I’d definitely stay there again ..

Lake Side Retreat Girls Trip

The property was absolutely beautiful. Very nice place to just get away, relax, and recharge in a secure community. We enjoyed the place and the property owner was responsive when we had a minor issue arise. The place is well decorated, clean, and cozy!

Beautiful location on Lake Shoals

Overall my family absolutely loved our stay at this location. There are a few things that I think need to be mentioned in the listing. This vacation home is the basement level of the home that is shown in the listing photo. To access the rental, you have to go down quite a few stairs and then up another set of wooden stairs that lead you to the back patio entrance. This is the only entrance to this rental, and is not an easy trek with luggage. There are kayaks to be used, but they were not clean. I was able to pull the yellow one out and it was covered in spider webs and dirt, and a wasp nest. I was able to rinse it down a bit with a bottle of water, but it would help if there was a water hose in the back to spray them down. The listing also listed coin laundry, but there was no laundry facilities on the premises. It would also be helpful if there was an iron on the premises. Despite these issues, my family loved the lake house. We had a great time exploring the lake, playing pool and ping pong, and the location itself is great. Not much around, but central to several day trips (we went into Hiddenite to mine, spent a day at Blowing Rock, and drove out to the Biltmore Estate one day. The neighbors were also very friendly. Overall we had a great week.
