Doc is an excellent host and the property was exactly as described. We stayed at the end of March and the beach was very uncrowded. Having the beach loungers and umbrellas available (included in the rental!) was a definite plus.

I was very satisfied with the rental, it did not disappoint. It was exactly what I was looking for—quaint, QUIET, and perfect for my husband and I for my birthday. Pictures on VRBO were spot on.It really brought back nostalgia of the good old days (90’s-2,000’s). Yes, I’m getting old (I’m an 80’s baby). Beach access was mere feet away, which was a must for me! And the water was pristine. We lucked up on perfect weather. The only hiccup I will mention is that the host will ask you to TEXT…which in my world means to text the phone number provided on the app, being as he DID put his phone number on said app…he does not want that and it came across as rude initially, I had no other issues. Just text via VRBO app. Overall experience 4.5/5

A little slice of paradise

We had an amazing time and experience at this het away Pir place was very comfortable and we had everything that we needed. The location is beautiful, quiet, amd very relaxing. We even had a nice bottle of champagne waiting for is!

Close to beach

My husband and I had a lovely stay. We especially enjoyed how close it was to the beach. Lots of places to eat nearby as well. A bottle of Champagne was waiting for us on arrival. A couple of things that would be nice to add would be beach towels for guests and some way to access Netflix or other streaming platforms on the TVs.

So close to the beach

Love this property. Have stayed 3 times now. Just steps from the sand. Doc is always available and super nice. Can’t wait to get back next year!

This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. The host would not leave us alone and the neighbor was always there bothering us, whether it was on the beach or up at the unit, everywhere we looked there this guy was. We even had to call vrbo to get these people to leave us alone and stop trying to fleece us for more money because we had friends stay the night over after drinking and didnt want them to drive. We were here for our birthday celebration and our 4 friends that were here came to see us in rotation so there was never more than 3 to 4 people at a time at the unit. The washer and dryer was rusted, the grill didnt work, and again the being constantly bothered and watched was really uncomfortable and felt unsafe. Honestly the best part of the trip is when we decided to stay an extra day and moved to a different place. Vrbo reimbursed us money back for the trouble and problems we had if that tells you anything about staying here. STEER CLEAR OR YOU WILL BE BOTHERED THE WHOLE TIME!!!

We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and shops. Residence is older but well maintained with necessary updates. Beach was uncrowded and groomed. Owner was readily available and welcoming.

Beautiful location

We had everything we needed and Doc was very attentive. He provided anything else we needed very quickly. The beds could be replaced to something more comfortable. Location is great, branch is quiet and beautiful! We would stay again!

Found our Gem

We booked a last minute stay with Doc. We arrived early on our flight, and we were able to check in early. The location was amazing. It was so close to the beach where we caught many fish off the very private beach. Met a few great families who are regular visitors. We will be back!

Unit was very clean, great location on the beach. Unit was very clean when we arrived. Owner was great to communicate with and answered very quickly. Would rent again.

Relaxing stay

Location is awesome. Just steps from the beach and a couple blocks from the grocery store and restaurants. Everything you need for the beach is provided. No elevators or stairs, just park in front of your door and walk into your room. The owner even told me about some good seafood reastaurants nearby. I would definitely stay again when I come back to Madeira Beach.
