Best location

I have stayed at many places but this is so far the best. The front ocean view is great with oversized balcony. We stayed almost five weeks straight. Of course there are always pros and cons to all stays. The condo is well cleaned but the carpet for the two rooms are very old. You have to wear shoes/flip flops at all times. Condo is right next to public beach access so it can be crowded and noisy during the holidays since we were there during the July 4 week. However, it is still quiet at nights. We still had good nights of sleep. The fireworks were awesome. We can view from both sides front and back of balcony. Beds were comfortable. Kids room is a little noisy since it's facing street side but it didn't bother them. There's paid parking right next to condo if you have guests. The beach has a some seaweeds but not too bad. Waves were not too high/strong so it's kids friendly. Good size pool and hrs. Kitchen is well equipped. We left lots of stuff for future guest use. Host was very responsive to texts and answered all questions in a timely manner. The only bad experience I had was with the lady at the parking office. She was very rude and racist. Although there are some cons but I think overall the condo is clean, great location, and very convenient to stores or good restaurants. We will definitely come back. Future guests please take care of this condo so we will all enjoy future stay!

Grat Value - Splendid views including dolphins

We had a great stay and were happy with the condo! We truly enjoyed sitting on our balcony (6th floor), taking in the views and beach scenery. Sunsets were spectacular too (depending on weather). The condo and building complex are well equipped and maintained. We recommend this condo overall! Check if below issues are ok for you - these didn‘t keep us from having a great time. We got good value for the price paid (compared to similar nearby - overall prices have risen!). You step right on the beach and you get magnificent views - here, you are paying for this priviledge and not for fancy interiors! Location is good, however it did get busy in April on the beach adjacent to our stretch due to the Archibald Beach Park access (public access). The beach in front of our building never got busy. Pros: - splendid views from the balcony (with daily dolphin sightings) - well equipped kitchen with plenty of room. - Master bedroom with gulf views - easy parking - easy bulding access (no key - only need keycode) - Washing machine / dryer (but no rack to hang clothes) - pool and spa - Publix in walking distance, walmart a few minutes driving distance - John‘s Pass not far (walk 2 Miles or talk trolley) Cons: - The second bedrom is facing the roadside. Windows are so thin we first thought they were open behind the blinds (they weren‘t). Noise from street and the bars across the street is heard well and can be rather loud. If whoever sleeps there is noise sensitive that will be an issue (late evening hours) - our kids slept well. These windows should be replaced with solid ones to fix that issue. - Cleanliness: If you plan on walking around the house and balcony with shoes at all times, you‘re good. If not, you will get very dirty/ black soles on your feet. Especially the balcony floor does not seem to get cleaned ever. The master bedroom has a carpet that is not welcoming. Aside from these, cleanliness was good. We had known about these issues from previous reviews but didn‘t expect them to be that big. It didn‘t keep us from having a great time! If the price is right - compare with similar condos to get a feeling - we would definitely come again. Yes, it is dated - but since we weren‘t looking at buying, we didn‘t want to pay lots more to get a modern style one. More reviews on google maps. ..yes, management has a rough touch, but with 1 interaction in 2 weeks I can‘t see how you would give a 1-star-review overall. Recommended!

I would definitely rent the property again. View of the ocean was spectacular. Walking distance to drugstore and grocery store was very helpful. Most appliances worked very well but garbage disposal switch sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t. The dishwasher makes some very unusual sounds but is still working. I told iTrip Vacations that the owner should be notified that the carpets are very dirty. I had to wash my feet before going to bed because the bottoms of my feet were black with dirt. The cable box doesn’t connect correctly in the living room. The “guest” bathroom faucet drips so they are losing a lot of water. Some of the vertical blinds in the living room fall off when you pulled them closed. Other than these issues it a very beautiful condo and location!

Beautiful Beach

Absolutely the cleanest and nicest pool in the area. We have stayed at dozens of locations on the beach in this area and the pool and grounds at the Ocean Sands are by far the best around.

Beautiful view from the condo! Beach is well kept. House was beautiful and clean Had some problems with ac unit, but they promptly fixed it. Elevators also gave me some trouble. Thankfully we were only stuck in it for a few mins. Great location! Will be returning again at some point!

Room for improvement

Would you be willing to accept a poorly maintained, unclean condo to get a stunning view and excellent beach? The owner of this unit might be betting that you will because that’s exactly the unexpected position we found ourselves in. Yes, we reported several repairs that needed immediate attention, but we also decided to clean the condo ourselves, as best we could, so that the relaxing and enjoying part of our vacation could begin quickly. Short-term rental reviews should be fair and honest. Potential renters depend on them to make an educated decision for their lodging needs. Here is my best effort to write such a review. The Pros 1) Beachfront view – It doesn’t get any better than this one, 2) Well-maintained beach right off the garage with easy, one gate access, 3) Fabulous location – Walk to pharmacy, grocery store, bars and restaurants, 4) Kitchen stocked with all appliances, dinnerware and utensils you’ll need, 5) Good shower pressure, firm mattresses and effective air conditioning system, 6) Quick and friendly response from Brandon (property guy) and Christian (maintenance guy), 7) Nice shared property pool, spa and BBQ area The Cons 1) Broken lock on balcony sliding glass door (Unit is on the 6th floor, but we 2 women didn’t feel safe), 2) Closet door in 2nd bedroom was off its track and leaning against the wall, 3) Shower curtains in both bathrooms were ringed with black mold, 4) Carpeting in both bedrooms was dirty and badly stained, 5) Dust clumps throughout the unit as big as your hand and as dense as cotton balls, 6) Oven coated with grease on the sides and pooled in the bottom, thick as syrup, 7) Several blown out light bulbs throughout the unit, 8) Noise level from building patio area, bars across the street and the main road was at times too much So, did we enjoy our vacation while staying in this unit? Absolutely! But I think this outcome says more about our adaptability than the quality of the condo.

Beautiful beach area

I usually stay farther down the coast. But lived it here. If you like to go to sleep with the sound of waves, this is your place. Lounged at the pool mostly. Older adults mostly and all were so friendly and welcoming. Given the virus issues, we still had a wonderful time.

If location is your priority, this place was wonderful; sixth floor overlooking pool and spa while watching sunsets over the Gulf and beach. Patio furniture great; sofa old, worn and uncomfortable. MBr sliding door to patio nice. Owner not helpful with entry information; used current visitor and emergency phone to contactmaintenance.

Beautiful Sunsets

Property was all that we expected. Really enjoined using the bus lines to visit Clearwater and St. Pete. Chihuly, Dali, and Holocaust Museums. Great restaurants and utilized delivery of food staples from Publix. Stayed two weeks and now will never be satisfied with anything less.

Great condo!

Spent two weeks. Beautiful views of the Gulf! Watched dolphins swimming from the balcony. Took walks every morning on miles-long Beach. Condo well-equipped and tile floors were shining clean! Great pool area. Easy walk to restaurants, grocery store, drug store, and ice cream. We walked down the beach to the shops at John's Pass several times. Highly recommended!
