Overall we had a very good experience at the Royalton Antigua. I'd like to start by saying I wouldn't consider this a 5 star hotel like other Royaltons I've been to. Pros: 1) Property is beautiful; beach and pool were great. Never had an issue with towels, getting a seat, etc. 2) Lots of amenities for adults and kids 3) Staff were friendly and very helpful 4) The rooms were spacious 5) Entertainment at night and during the day was very nice 6) Kids club was great 7) Coffee shop had great coffee, smoothies, ice cream and dessert. 8) Extra $$ - the spa was great and we had an amazing romantic dinner on the beach with private violin playing in the background (not sure if this was part of the package or extra). The food for extra $$ experience was delicious. 9) if you order through expedia, you get your own representative who helps you with your reservations and recommendations (sort of like a butler if you were to get the diamond club package). Our representative, Antoinette, was amazing and booked all of our restaurant reservations ahead of time and got us perks. Cons: 1) Aside from the buffet, the a la carte restaurants were not good. Food was overspiced and overcooked most of the time. 2) The rooms themselves can use some upgrading especially the bathrooms. For a 5 star hotel, I would have expected more luxurious rooms.

Me and my partner stayed here for 5 days for her birthday. After booking I was a little skeptical because there were a lot of bad reviews. However that was not our case. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful from the time of arrival until we departed. Antionette, our Expedia host was amazing and had made us dinner reservations to all the restaurants prior to our arrival w/o us even requesting. She also scored us a cabana. The night entertainment bartender Carleen was amazing, Jakiel the young waiter at the buffet had a great personality, there was also a lady at the pool bar who took really good care of us. Titi with the pool entertainment staff was also great! Only downside was the quality of the food but Overall this was a memorable trip for us. Everyone who gave outstanding service received the $2 bills from us. Antigua was awesome!

As a frequent traveler I would not recommend the Royalton or Expedia as a travel service. Reservation was mishandled and a refund from Expedia was promised and not given, as well as many other instances of bad customer service and experiences…wild dogs on property. Water not working or brown. Running out of food at every meal. Do not book here or through Expedia!

Review We’ve just spent 10 days here and we’ve honestly enjoyed it so much. I think this hotel is what you make of it, and I do think there’s a difference in expectations from being British compared to what we noticed Americans expecting. Room - we had a bay view and it was so spacious. We had a King bed and doors on the showers (other reviews seemed not to have this?). Housekeeping came everyday and restocked the mini bar (which is also included for free). Balcony was clean and spacious, bed was super comfy - we were really happy. Check in wait time - honestly… I think if you’re a patient person this isn’t an issue. Our room was ready after 30 mins but they gave us our reservation number so we could go and make dining reservations, we also went and sat by the beach and got drinks from the bar. Just because the room isn’t ready doesn’t mean you can’t start the holiday! Reservations - super easy, we made 4 reservations for our 10 day stay. You will struggle to get a booking on the day so I’d just recommend planning two/three days ahead. there was only 2 of us so maybe that made it easier to make bookings? Food quality - the buffet was so much better than anything we’ve had in Europe. At breakfast you can get omelettes cooked to order, and they made fresh pizzas everyday at lunch. The Caribbean restaurant was fine, we went once but weren’t blown away. The Italian is the best restaurant out of all of them, it overlooks the sea and all meals were great (we ate there 3 ti

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience booking an excursion through the hotel’s vendor, Nexus Tours, during our stay at Royalton Antigua Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort. We booked this tour as part of a birthday celebration and were really looking forward to it. On the day, we were waiting in the hotel foyer at the time advised by reception, expecting confirmation that our pickup had arrived. After waiting a considerable amount of time, we were told that the transport had already come and gone—without any attempt to properly locate or notify us. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of support from both the reception team and the excursions/events concierge. There was no accountability, no urgency to resolve the issue, and no meaningful assistance offered while we were still on-site. As a result, we lost £300 and missed out on an important birthday experience. This was not just a logistical failure, but a significant disappointment that impacted our overall stay. I would strongly urge future guests to think twice before booking excursions through the hotel and to seek independent providers instead. At the very least, clearer communication and better customer care are needed to prevent situations like this from happening again.

We had an amazing stay at this resort! The variety of food was impressive—there was something for everyone, and everything we tried was delicious. The property was spotless and very well maintained, which made our stay even more comfortable. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views everywhere you look. The beach was one of the highlights—clean, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. We would definitely come back!

The room was perfect size for 3 girls on a girls trip the bathroom was a great size with 2 sinks ..the beach was great we always had a chair with and umbrella the bar was located right by the beach and pool the buffet was great lots to choose from the staff was great and friendly the coffee shop was great with the gelato everything was in walking distance on property

Beautiful location and has so much potential but it’s poorly run. Staff doesn’t want to be there and it shows. Not even a Good Morning. Same food everyday, no variety. No availability at restaurants even with diamond club. Total waste of money there. Stray cats and cockroaches at your feet. Pest control lets themselves into your room to spray without knocking. Oh and when you check-in be prepared to wait until way out check-in for your room. Then when you go to your room, you find out that other guests are already accommodating your room. FYI - don’t try to talk to management because they don’t care.

Staff was not nice, place is poorly run. Always out of everything needed to make drinks and couldn’t be bothered. Restaurant staff constantly yelling at guest for moving chairs or silverware to sit with their family. You are done eating before they come to take drink orders or give you water. Diamond club was a joke. Go to Sandals so you can enjoy yourself.

Worst hotel ever, staff was unfriendly. Restaurant had a mental break down if you moved a chair to sit with family. Yelling at people, strays cats and dogs running through dining, cockroaches. And diamond club was the worst waste of money ever.

Staff was very unfriendly, although the hotel was all-inclusive it was also out of everything, no coffee, no mint for mojitos. My son was given a room, with keyed entry - upon opening the door it was another guest’s room. Staff just said oops we put you in wrong room. Hotel had cockroaches. Pest control was constantly letting themselves into your room and spraying, while you were using bathroom or in the shower. Diamond club was a total waste of money. Buffet every night unless you’re willing to eat at 9pm. Same dried out food every night with stray cats and dogs running at your feet. Beautiful location just very poorly run. Don’t waste your money. Casford in the cabanas was great!!

Food was not good. Restaurants you had to stand in line to make a reservation between 10-3. There were three restaurants.. not including the ice cream/ coffee shop that was twice out of ice cream, a sports bar that took an hour to receive your food wit no one in the place, and a buffet that was average at best. Out of the three other restaurants, the Italian place was good others not so much! Drinks were ok. Entertainment was ok. Staff was ok.not much of a beach… handles coming off on all bathroom hooks in both rooms we stayed at. Two small elevators that were mostly full .// u decide:) Atm was out of service .. two small stores were out of stomach medicine ./

I had high hopes for a welcoming and hospitable experience at this resort, but unfortunately, the staff seemed more preoccupied with cleaning than with being friendly and approachable. The food was decent, but I would appreciate more variety. The drinks were also lacking in quality. Perhaps there are unhappy employees, as the customer service could definitely use improvement. On the bright side, the beach was probably the best part of the resort.

Positive Feedback: -The natural surroundings were beautiful, with a clean beach and clear water. -The wristband room key was convenient and easy to use. -The location is close to Fort Barrington, which was a nice advantage. -The Italian restaurant and steakhouse both offered delicious food. -The Antigua night show and the International night were the best. -Antoinette from guest services was very kind and helpful—she assisted with our room change and ensured our needs were met. Negative Feedback: -The overall hospitality lacked warmth from the moment of arrival. -Front desk service was very slow, and staff appeared to lack sufficient knowledge. -Staff were often inconsiderate of guest needs and concerns. -Some front desk employees displayed a poor attitude, with no friendliness or empathy. -The lobby was very small relative to the number of guests, with too few staff available to assist. -The stage location was poorly planned, requiring guests to search for a suitable viewing spot. -The buffet offered limited variety. Overall Experience: Customer service is our top priority when choosing a resort, and unfortunately, this aspect was disappointing. As a result, we would not return or recommend this property to family and friends.

We had an Amazing time !!! Our butlers earl and khem was exceptional!! The over water bungalow was perfect for the vacation my husband and I were needing !! No complaints
