  • Puerta del cielo St. John es una villa de lujo de cuatro dormitorios, con vistas a St. El prístino agujero de huracán de John, designado Monumento a los Arrecifes de Coral de las Islas Vírgenes en 2001.

    Heaven’s Gate está rodeada por las tierras del parque nacional de las Islas Vírgenes, con vistas panorámicas sin obstáculos de 180 grados del huracán Hole y el océano abierto salpicado de pequeñas islas y cayos, incluidas las islas Leduck, Peter Island y Tortola. Este refugio en la cima de la montaña ofrece total paz y privacidad y está cerca del esnórquel de clase mundial en la Bahía de Haulover, justo debajo. The views from this property of Hurricane Hole and beyond are unparalleled- just breathtaking! The flowers that line the driveway are also so beautiful!

Sometimes the photographs are much nicer than the in person view. This was one of the few times the in person view was better than the online photographs. Beautiful property, immaculately maintained, everything you need for the perfect vacation!

The pool with the ocean view is spectacular. We spent a great deal of time there. Given the size of the house and the number of guests it accommodates, they could use more than 4 lounge chairs.

A great house! The views from Heaven's Gate are especially spectacular and visible throughout the house. we enjoyed waking up to a gorgeous sunrise every morning and breakfasting on one of the decks. Loved the pool and the outdoor showers. The landscaping is also beautiful. From the moment you drive through the gate, you are met with colorful flowers and shrubs.Josephine was a great host-- she is responsible for the flowers and grows much of the greens and produce you see in coral bay. It was a treat to find her delicious greens in the fridge when we arrived and plantains and mangoes too. Thanks for a great stay!

Heavens Gate is a very special property ! The views just wow - it is a great space to gather with family and friends. Very comfortable accomodations and loved the outdoor spaces and the views. Outdoor showers were great and Jospehines greens and veggies were a lovely treat! Thanks for sharing your home and we look forward to coming back.

We have traveled to many countries and beautiful locations and this is very possibly the most beautiful view we’ve ever seen. We came here for spring break with our teens and it was their favorite trip yet. We all enjoyed the views, the outdoor showers, the beautiful house and landscaping. The host even left us fresh greens from her farm. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. We felt like we were secluded, yet were so close to restaurants and where to catch the boat we chartered for a day. We have zero complaints and hope to one day stay here again.

This house was great for our trip. It has amazing views of Coral Bay and is within 20 minutes of several beaches. The house is definitely on the quiet side of the island but that's what we wanted and we found there was plenty to do. The wild donkeys even came out to the house one day. The house is properly stocked, AC worked in all bedrooms, living room was comfortable, and outdoor patio and pool were spacious and enjoyable. Really, the only comment I have was there was no communication from the owner. I reached out twice but never heard back. If you do rent this place do use the address called out by the owner. Otherwise, Google maps takes you to the wrong place. Also, the property description doesn't say anything about a gate. This threw us off because we were not provided a gate code and the gate was tied shut. There is no gate code. Just untie the rope from the gate and head up. This was a great trip and do recommend this house.

This villa is a treasure!!!

If you have the opportunity to book this villa, DO IT!!! The photos are completely accurate. It's just beautiful! We have rented many villas on St. John and this villa is by far the most beautiful and the most comfortable! Hugo was a pleasure to work with and his mom even gave us a bag of her delicious greens and veggies! Thank you so very much! Our family of 8 had more than enough room and the views were absolutely spectacular! We are definitely hoping to return at some point!

The perfect home base while exploring St. John

We had a wonderful time. We took day hikes and swims and then returned to this amazing villa with stunning views for the pool, the kitchen, the views, and the stars (we had cloudless, moonless skies). We even got to visit the owner’s farm! Excellent all around.

Another wonderful stay!

We love staying at Heaven's Gate! The property is in a wonderful location at the quiet end of the island. Everything is top rate and there is everything you need to enjoy your stay. Hugo is wonderful to work with and very prompt to answer any questions. We love Heavens Gate!

Celebrating a decade!

Heaven's Gate was a PERFECT location for four couples all celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversaries! Not only is Saint John beautiful, but Coral Bay and specifically the East Side of the island provided the perfect atmosphere for our trip. We rented two jeeps in Cruz Bay and enjoyed adventures all over the island. Beach days at Trunk Bay, Cinnamon Bay & Hanson Bay were awesome, as well as the Lime-Out Floating Taco Bar! We chartered a catamaran for a half-day through Big Blue Excursions and captain Sophie took us to two spots only accessible by boat - it was awesome! In Coral Bay, we enjoyed Skinny Leggs (for several amazing burgers) as well as Aquabistro. The Danforth was ok, but not our favorite spot. In Cruz Bay, you can't beat ocean-side breakfast at High Tides, the huevos rancheros were excellent! Last but not least, Hugo was an excellent host! We enjoyed greens and produce from their family farm and he was helpful and quick to respond if/when we needed something. We' re already dreaming about a return trip to the island and hopefully to Heaven's Gate. What a beautiful place! THANK YOU!

Truly Amazing - Exceeded Expectations

We were truly blown away by what a fantastic property this is. If anything, the pictures may not quite do this place enough justice. It exceeded our expectations. The views are breathtaking. Every morning we watched the sunrise from one of the many balconies; every evening we sat outside and enjoyed the view as well. The house is gorgeous and well-appointed, the landscaping beautiful, and the pool is perfectly situated with the same great view shared by the balconies. The host was very friendly and helpful with providing recommendations on where to go, restaurants, etc. We could go on an on. . . . The only real "downside" of staying here – and it may not be a downside depending on your point of view – is that it is about a 30 minute drive to the main town, although it seems longer given the nature of the roads. So stock up with groceries if you plan on eating at the house as there isn’t a supermarket nearby. Bottom line, this is a wonderful property and we would definitely stay here again.

Incredible Views

Our first visit to Heavens Gate and it’s an awesome property. House is fully stocked with beach towels, beach chairs, coolers. Kitchen has all you need if you chose to cook in. We enjoyed the pool after a day exploring the island. Highly recommend this home. Hope to be back again next year. Thanks Hugo

Stunning

Gorgeous, generous house with a postcard view. Great wifi, cooling breezes, outdoor showers, beach extras to borrow, and a short drive to great beach foodie destinations like Hansen Beach (swim out floating taco bar) and Maho Beach (beachside food truck). Check in and out was easy too!

Great place and owners

The work done to this villa shows great care in every detail. Well laid out and everything you could ask for with a constant breeze. Close to coral bay shopping and restaurants. Hugo came to my rescue in the middle of the night with no worries. He is a warm and good hearted person which I am sure all the family are the same. Can’t say enough about how grateful we are for his help and kindness. We have stayed at several island villas on St. John and this is the best. They all have personality, this villa touches on everything.

Perfect Trip

This villa is beyond gorgeous - the name fits it perfectly! The views and landscaping are spectacular from sunrise to sunset. Hugo welcomed us with open arms, and we met Mayumi and Josephine later - such a sweet, warm and kind family. The villa is very spacious and has EVERYTHING you need...including outdoor showers which are amazing and comfortable beds for a good nights sleep. The pool was large enough to swim laps in and there is always a very nice breeze. One of the highlights of our trip was the villa outdoor cat JoJo - we have missed him so much! We hope to be back again one day!!

Breathtaking view....name says it all - private slice of paradise!

We so much enjoyed Heaven's Gate...incredible views and Mayumi, Hugo, and Mrs Josephine were so nice...we felt like part of the family as we arrived. We can't wait to return!

It doesn't get any better than this... seriously... and if you think it does... please do share!

Wow. This place is amazing. We've been travelling extensively for over 20 years and have been fortunate enough to see most of the globe... especially most of Central America, Mexico and the Car ibbean. We have different favorites for different reasons but, if we had to pick a favorite destination it would be St John... specifically Coral Bay area. Heaven's Gate is the most amazing property in that area. The view is truly spectacular! The photos are accurate but don't do it justice. It is a bit of a religious experience to watch the sun rise from this property. The house was well appointed, well maintained and more than sufficient for our family of 2 adults and 3 children (5, 7 and 9). In fact, we didn't even use the lower level of 2 additional bedrooms. You could easily fit 8 adults and a few kids although they publish their max capacity at 8. The owners were amazing and very responsive... although the only problem we had was forgetting the code to the security gate! :-) The only problem with this amazing home is that it is SO NICE that you don't want to leave... which of course is crazy since the St John and surrounding islands have so much to offer! We love St John... we love Heavens Gate. You simply won't find a better view for anything less then a rate only the uber rich can afford. If you disagree and can prove me wrong... please contact me because I want to go wherever it is you think tops this place! Amazing.

Heavens Gate is spectacular!

We have traveled around the world, including lots of places in the Caribbean, and we have never been to a place more beautiful than Heaven’s Gate. The views priceless by itself, but the incredible landscaping makes you feel like you are in the middle of a botanical garden, and the pool & home are amazing. The entire villa & grounds are breathtaking. We stayed there for 2 weeks, half the time with just my wife and I, and half the time with our adult kids. We all had an amazing time. The Coral Bay area is really laid back, but it has lots of small fun restaurants and all the basic necessities. Plus the people are super friendly. We snorkeled at lots of different spots and hiked in the national park. If you have a chance to stay at Heaves Gate do not pass it up. You will love everything about it!

Heaven's Gate

We've just returned from a week long stay at the aptly named villa "Heaven's Gate". The home and views were jaw dropping! The attention to detail and owners interest in making our holiday enjoyable were evident and greatly appreciated! Not only is the home beautiful but the landscaping is stunning! Gorgeous palm trees, bougainvillaea and orchids adorn the property! The home is blessed with trade winds making air conditioning unnecessary and reducing the possibility of problems with insects. We found everything to be very clean and in great condition (no wear and tear!). Heaven's gate has a well appointed kitchen and is well stocked with ample beach chairs, towels etc. While at the home, we spent most of our time outdoors enjoying the many beautiful and large veranda's. Josephine was a pleasure to work with and was kind and patient as I had many questions! Hugo was a wonderful host who was also so very kind and helpful! Thank you for the wonderful greens and coconuts! Such a treat! Heartfelt thanks for allowing us to enjoy your magnificent home! We hope to return to the islands soon and will be in touch!
