Hazel House is a large 4 bedroom 2 bathroom, bi-level home located in St. Ignace, just steps away from the public boat launch and downtown district which holds the Mackinac Island ferry boats!. This spacious, family-oriented home is perfect for large families looking to getaway! Every room gets a daily dose of beautiful, bright sunshine making for a light, relaxing atmosphere. From the entryway, head up the half flight of stairs to enter the fully equipped kitchen/ dining area, living room, large water view deck, 3 bedrooms, and bathroom. Downstairs features a master suite with a private sitting area and bathroom.

So convenient if you’re gonna visit Mackinac Island, you can walk to the ferry. The house had plenty of space with a large family room for everyone to relax, after a long day of exploring the UP. ! Would stay again!

The host was exceptionally helpful and kind. Highly recommend this home, as it is super comfortable , spacious, and well maintained. The Kitchen was well equipped with everything you might need, nice furniture, and homey feel. Great location, and convenient to all amenities.We truly enjoyed our stay, and will be back again sometime soon.

Vacation

The house was such a nice size. The deck in back was a favorite hangout. It was great for my dog to be outside without being outside! All the fans and lack of any a/c was the biggest issue. The fan noise and trying to stay cool was a struggle. The architecture of the house was really neat. It did seem to have a musty smell at times though. Otherwise it had everything we needed to be comfortable. I really liked the information wall with pamphlets of the area, etc.

Great Getaway!

My husband and I stayed at this property with 2 other couples for our annual Friends Getaway. The property was exactly as described....lots of room for all of us to spread out, have privacy as well as hang out together. Great large deck with a view of the water too. Within walking distance for the ferry dock and downtown St. Ignace. Everything we needed was provided and communication was great! Wonderful place for a large group or family to stay. Have already shared this place with a friend and would definetly stay here again.

Great location with lots of room

We had 8 adults who stayed at the Hazel House. It was in a great location looking out over the bay, so the fireworks on Sat. evening were fantastic. We were also able to walk over to Shepler's Ferry to go to Mackinac Island. The house had plenty of room for everyone, with 4 bedrooms, and in the living room 2 sofas and 4 other comfy chairs. The house had pretty much anything we needed during our stay. We arrived on a fairly hot day and the house was a bit warm since there is no air conditioning, though they had many fans going to try to help. After the first 2 days the temps dropped a bit and the house was more comfortable, especially in the evenings. The couple of times I had a question or concern I did not have to wait long for a response. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Sweet vacation base

Loved this spacious, well equipped and well furnished house near ferry docks and central St Ignace. Was very roomy for four adults and child. Especially loved large second floor deck with views of Moran Bay.

The home is welcoming and homey, It had everything we needed for an amazing trip to the UP. We enjoyed the deck with views of the inlet and the backyard firepit and the walk to the ferryboat to THE Island!

Family Fun

This house was great for our two family vacation. Has great indoor and outdoor living space. The porch is huge and has a locking gate which is great to keep the toddlers and dogs on. We were also able to see the St Ignace and Mackinac Fireworks from the porch. Perfect walking distance to downtown and the ferry’s to the island. Lots of towels provided and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need.
