Kern River: Renowned for its white-water rafting and kayaking opportunities, the Kern River also offers calmer sections for fishing and tubing. We have an exclusive access point via 45 min trail on the property, for some of the best fishing you'll find on the Kern.

The Needles: This granite spire formation is a popular spot for rock climbing and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding forest. Even if you’re not a climber, the hike to the base of The Needles is worth the effort for the stunning scenery. (visible from the property, but accessible via approx 50 min drive)

Trail of 100 Giants: A must-see trail that features a grove of giant sequoias, including some of the largest trees on earth. This easy, wheelchair-accessible trail is perfect for visitors of all ages and offers numerous photo opportunities. (approx 30 min drive).

Potential encounters include birds, squirrels, insects, deer, rabbits, spiders, foxes, bats, bears, snakes, horses, dogs, cats, cows, and various other creatures. As we share their habitat, these animals may be feral, so please act accordingly. Occasionally, a mouse, insect, bird, bat, or other small animals might find its way into the cabin. To minimize this, please keep doors closed, ensure screens are in place and don't leave food out. Thank you.
