Premium accommodations rocking the cowboy-chic vibe in a totally private, majestic country setting minutes to award winning wineries (one is walking distance) quaint restaurants and shops, the historic gold rush town of Placerville, wedding venues, Sly Park Recreation Area and the North Fork of the Consumnes River. South Lake Tahoe is only an hour away.

On 27 acres nestled in the beautiful Sierra Foothills, there's plenty of room for everyone to spread out, relax and enjoy the perfect staycation in this private setting with all that the El Dorado Wine Region and Gold Country have to offer.

Strolling around the property you'll enjoy total privacy, a vintage barn, a small pond, a sparkling pool, majestic views of neighboring vineyards and the sweet orchestral sound of frogs and crickets chirping at dusk.

Inside you'll have numerous options for quiet relaxation or gathering with friends and family to create lasting memories.

The atrium with a pool table, a bar with stools for 12, a river rock gas fireplace, a 65" OLED TV with Soundboks Bluetooth speakers and dining for 18-20 is sure to be a favorite gathering spot.

The fully-stocked chef's kitchen with professional appliances including a Wolf 6-burner gas range, Miele double ovens, a SubZero fridge plus wine fridge and a farm table for 8 will appeal to the cooks in your group. We even provide the good knives from CutCo.

The movie room is also a favorite hangout with lots of comfy seating, another cozy fireplace and a 72" OLED TV complete with full surround sound to view your favorite movies and shows.

The primary bedroom suite offers a king size canopy bed designed by Leanne Ford for Crate & Barrel with luxury linens and a huge master bath with a jacuzzi tub, separate shower, double sinks and a walk-in closet.

The wallpaper queen bedroom has a full ensuite bathroom with shower over tub and a wall-in closet.

The 3rd bedroom is like 2 rooms in 1 with a queen bed on 1 side and a bunkbed on the other. It is also right next to the third full bath and has a sliding door that leads directly into the atrium.

All bathrooms are complete with ample towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap.

Outdoors there's cornhole, a ping pong table, a basketball court, a large gas BBQ grill and picnic table, a sparkling swimming pool with loungers for 8 and an outdoor fridge for all of your pool-side refreshments.

Professionally decorated and maintained with attention to all the details to create a relaxing stay and priceless memories. Wonderful Experience

Dream Vacation Rental

This is our second time staying at this property. We came back for my husband’s 63rd birthday celebration! I cant say enough good things about this property! Its spacious, modern, beautiful, and well maintained! The attention to detail in this house is apparent; it is set up to pamper and wow you! The kitchen is simply amazing and ideal for preparing and enjoying a meal! There is plenty to do on the property too. We enjoyed playing pool and hanging out in the bar area. We loved that the bar has a big fireplace. It has another huge table that was ideal for board games. You can also watch tv and listen to music out there. The grounds are beautiful too! There is a pickle ball court and some outdoor activities as well. I hope to return when its warm enough to enjoy the swimming pool. This house is dreamy; highly recommend!!

An Ordinary Birthday Bash Turned Extraordinary Memory-Filled Extravaganza!!

BOOK THIS HOUSE- YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!! This is the kind of home that you won't want to leave. I honestly wanted to establish permanent residency, however I figured the (incredible) host might not be too happy with that... I was a little hesitant to book at first, as I wasn't sure whether or not I was making a wise financial decision. The look on my husband's face, however, when we drove up to the gated entry, passed through to the other side, and entered our own personal world of extravagance and luxury- THAT was priceless. And as each new guest arrived- all of them a surprise for my husband's 40th Birthday- the looks on their faces, the dropped jaws, the dreamlike wonder that they had left their worldly baggage behind and entered a place of true relaxation and childlike discovery- I knew that choosing the Somerset Ranch was the best decision I made. I don't think I have enough space on here to write everything that I want to write about this home. I guess I'm going to have to "nutshell" it. The Hostess- extremely responsive, always within minutes. Whether it was to get help with the speaker system or to request that the pool be heated last minute, she responded promptly and completely exceeded our expectations. Michelle is an A+ hostess. The Property- words will never do it justice. And VRBO is cutting me off from writing a long story. Vast, beautiful, so many activities, a musicians dream (from 8-tracks, cassettes to karaoke). BEST MEMORIES MADE. Thnk u Michelle!

Completely Satisfied Guest

This house was so beautiful! It was huge! It had so many amenities from the pool, BBQ grill, ping pong table, cornhole, pool table, basketball court, pickle ball etc. Absolutely loved the decor and how spacious the house was esp the kitchen. Great for large families. So many places to sit whether it be the large dining table in the atrium or in the kitchen. We even enjoyed the media room and watched movies together there. The kids loved to see the frogs in the pond. Everything was just perfect including the host who was so kind, accommodating and always very quick to respond to all of my inquiries. Michelle, you were awesome! Thanks for everything! We will definitely be coming back!

Really enjoyed the property and how well the house was put together. The enclosed patio/atrium is a great addition. Gorgeous house and a lovely trip

This property did not disappoint. It was perfect for our extended family and two dogs. There is so much space and everyone (including kids) had a cozy spot to sleep. We really enjoyed the beautifully renovated kitchen. The whole house has a ranch/rustic vibe, and the decor is fun and very well done. Michelle is also lovely to work with!! She was kind enough to send back several items we left at the house. Highly recommend!!!

Oasis in Somerset

What a fantastic property! We booked it for a relaxing birthday weekend get-away in El Dorado County wine country, and it ended up being the perfect choice. The beautifully designed, cowboy-themed ranch home comes with too many amenities to name, but highlights include: the impressively large, well-stocked kitchen; a lovely swimming pool by an outdoor grill and ping pong table; a recreational atrium for shooting pool, mixing cocktails, or enjoying a movie. There are multiple rooms in the house for resting and socializing, and the huge master bedroom comes with beautiful views and a whirlpool bathtub. The large property is fun to explore and includes ponds with lily pads, bridges, a gazebo, etc. I enjoyed the critters who visited throughout the day, including kitties, a friendly pup, wild turkeys, deer, etc. Michelle was super attentive and clearly wanted us to enjoy our stay. Would definitely rent again.

Incredible stay!!!

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us. It was all we could have asked for and so much more. We had an incredible visit, and the house and amenities were fantastic. There was plenty of space for us all and space for the kids and adults to get together but also have there own space and time. The gourmet kitchen was amazing, and the pool a big hit for both adults and kids. We would love to come back some time. We had some memorable family meals together with our friends. Beautiful Home - well appointed and fun for groups

The sleeping arrangements are always important to me. Main house has 2 queen bedrooms that are beautiful. One has ensuite full bath, the other has it's own full bath1 door down. The king/master is as glorious as the pictures. Nice linens, ample towels. If there are kids or a group of ladies, (or guys if they care to shack up) the one queen room has 2 adjacent bunk beds and can fit 3 friends nicely. Very nice for adults, not a kiddie bunk bed room. The whole house is furnished impeccably. Like shabby chic gone upscale cowboy western and minimalist, chic for 2022. Really well done, might be the very best decorated home we've stayed in, and we have used VRBO 2-3 times a year for many years. 2 other couples (including my husband and I) shared the casita for an additional cost. There is also a beautiful vintage trailer on property for 2 more folks. The casita was beautiful, quiet and comfortable. One room is queen, the other 2 full beds, which we pulled together for a giant bed and that is where my husband and I slept. We comfortably shared the full bath, the 4 of us. Every room in the main house has closet and cabinetry. The casita has floating clothes racks in each bedroom with shelves and hangers. Plenty of coffee, drip coffee makers and filters, sugar and sweeteners. Each kitchen has fridge, ovens and range. Dishwasher and ice maker in main house. Ice trays in casita. On 27 acres, there is no one around. It's quiet and private. Outside is a regular refridgerator by the pool for drinks. Outside kitchen/large BarBQue. Everything you could possibly need. Bring your own pool towels - the pool is one of the best features among many. BUT--the very BEST feature was the owners, Michelle and Don!!. They were available for questions, have caretaker on property, clear instructions and are so flexible. We brought our very well behaved 3 year old dog and it was awesome to be able to do that. Must be tick/flea collar or prescription, current on shots, no pets on furniture - just as you would expect in a place so fashionable. Don't forget to gather in one of the 3 sitting rooms of the main house and play cards against humanity. we had an hysterical time! Or in the big game room off the kitchen. Pool table, ping pong and everything was used to our group enjoyment. PS Bluetooth for all music, play pandora, itunes or bring an Alexa. Fast internet!! We cooked in for 11 people. Thank you so much Michelle and Don, we will be back!

Fantastic Property!!

This property is truly amazing! Its very clean and updated. Its very big and luxurious! You can tell that the owners put in time and effort to make your stay enjoyable!! Lots of little thoughtful amenities throughout the house! I really loved the view from the big window in the kitchen! The grounds are pretty impressive and ginormous! It was the first time my husband and I ever went to Somerset and we didn't know what to expect. This house was fun with its pool and ping pong table. I look forward to returning to this property when its spring or summer. Theres a swimming pool and an outdoor grill that will be fantastic to use! The owner Michelle was very hospitable and welcoming! She reached out to give us an early check in and she followed up with us once we arrived to ensure our stay was pleasant. Highly recommend!!

Somerset Family Reunion

We all had a wonderful stay at this property, photos that usually depict the size of the areas are usually off.....but this wasn't....if anything...the common areas were larger than we anticipated. The home was warm and cozy during our stay and it felt very much like home. We have family that live close by so the location was perfect for us. The atrium room is HUGE, with a pool table and plenty of room to just hang out. Home has been updated in the right spots and the floors were gorgeous. Gas fireplaces work great as it snowed while we were there. Beautiful property to explore. Kitchen was large enough too....I could keep going. All in all.....great stay and Michelle was very attentive if we had any questions. Gave all areas 5 stars. Thanks Michelle! Would love to come stay again.
