    Drive over the sparkling Gulf of Florida via the North Siesta Key Bridge from Sarasota and visit our barrier island home, featuring the No. 2 beach in the United States according to TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards. Just a few streets further, you’ll discover our Banyan Tree Cottage, nestled in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood.

    With ample parking available in the shell-covered driveway, this charming cottage is surrounded by Selby Garden-esque landscaping, complete with winding walkways and secret alcoves perfect for meditating or reading a book in a serene nature nook.

    As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by the sun’s warmth and comfort pouring through the white-pane windows. The tropical colors create a true siesta-like atmosphere, encouraging a lazy and relaxing vacation, with excitement and amusement just a short distance away.

    The cottage offers two ensuite bedrooms and a third bedroom, each featuring a comfy queen bed with soft, luxurious linens. If needed, there is also a full-size pull out couch.

    The three bathrooms retain their fun, original vintage tiles with updated functionality, and we provide for your use:
    - Nourishing shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (100% vegan & cruelty-free, with a green tea & lemongrass scent)
    - Towels
    - First aid kits
    - Hair blow dryer

    The updated kitchen is fully stocked, allowing you to prepare anything from a light snack to a holiday meal. Keep your drinks cold with the ice maker and your coffee hot with the coffee bar. The kitchen also includes:

    - Windowed door leading to the screened lanai

    The highlight of this cottage is the whimsical, cabana-style screened lanai—a truly unique feature. Spend time beneath the shade of the majestic grandfather banyan tree in the fully screened-in lanai, furnished for dining and lounging, offering a wonderful outdoor retreat without the nuisance of pesky Florida creatures.

    We’ve included a vintage-style bar cart to wheel food and beverages between the kitchen, the lanai, and the outdoor grilling area, which includes a propane gas grill. Off the lanai, you’ll find a laundry room with a full-size washer, dryer, and deep sink for rinsing off sandy clothes and shoes.

Wonderful home and all on one level!

Our group consisted of both in-town residents and out-of-state visitors. One of the in-town people was my 88-year old mother. Naturally we wanted a place all on one level. This home had everything we needed and at a reasonable price. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped, and the place was spotless. I would stay here again for sure.

Ladies week away

This home is exactly as pictured: beautiful, clean, roomy, well stocked, convenient and quiet. All communication with owners was quick and efficient. We used nearby Shell Beach, except at high tide, with plenty of parking. Patio and outside sitting areas are lovely. This home was a quiet oasis surrounded by lovely beaches, museums and restaurants, exactly want we wanted. It felt like our piece of paradise. Thank you.

Charming home in a great location!

We really enjoyed our stay. Cottage has all the charm of an old Florida cottage and all of the modern conveniences. Wi-fi was reliable. A/C totally comfortable. Kitchen modern and up-to-date. W/D just what you would expect. A perfect place for two semi-retired professionals to get our work done, access all of places we like to play (beach, biking, kayaking, excellent restaurants, theater, music, etc.) and visit friends all over Sarasota. Owners were very responsive to minor issues that arose. Hope to come back next year!

Florida Trip

The property is located on the far north end of Siesta Key which requires transportation to any of the beaches or shopping areas. The property was relatively clean although either the cleaning company or previous tenants had not been quite diligent in some areas - linens, towels etc. There were a few issues that required outside professionals to rectify during our stay however both the owners and the Property Management Group responded quickly.

Really nicely decorated and appointed home. Katie was great. We arrived and were welcomed with Vinho Verde and salsa and chips- lovely touch! The shell beach down the block is lovely for sunsets.

Fabulous Stay in Siesta Key

We stayed during spring break 2021. The house fit our family of 6 (2 adults and 4 teenagers) perfectly and was very clean and had everything we would have wanted. Bonus was a den with a fold-out couch that we were not expecting but definitely put to use. The lanai was a great addition to the house and we ate all of our meals there. The gardens were gorgeous. Everything was well-kept. We would highly recommend.

Home is exactly as stated, hosts were very quick to respond even though we had very few issues. located on the north end, was away from the madness of Siesta but close enough just in case you wanted to join in. Highly recommend

Very nice home for a family stay

We really enjoyed this home. It was quiet, well equipped with everything you need and had good WiFi as three of us were working remotely. The home is adorably furnished and has a sunroom off back for reading/relaxing It was easy to get off the island to run errands but you did need a car. Closest thing to walk to is about 1.5 miles There is a cute little beach a few blocks away for chilling or watching the sunset Overall is was a great beach town home and would definitely stay there again
