"The room wa clean and comfortable. The staff are brilliant. There were a couple of 'issues' when we arrived. TWe couldn't get the bedside lights to work and the radiator was very noisy and not heating. We mentioned this to the staff and both issues were sorted straight away (the fuse switch on the wall had been turned off, hence the lights not working and th radiator had an airlock and needed to be bled).There is some noise from the bar below but this ends when the bar closes at 10.30 and then...

"I stayed for two nights in the lovely Darwin room. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and cosy, with everything I needed (hair dryer, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities, fresh water, toiletries). Breakfast in the mornings was fantastic! Chosen from a menu and freshly made to order it was high quality and non greasy. I thoroughly enjoyed it. "No hot water the first night, though they mover us to another room the second one (much smaller). Excellent breakfast, and really kind staff."

What stood out: clean rooms - we had two (spotless), staff were so curteous and pleasant, beds and pillows conforatable, nice walk in hot shower, heating in the rooms was perfect, amenities like the breakfast was wonderful and the parking was useable, although we used the public car park as not to be parked in. Thanks to the front desk manager we put extra time in the metre overnight because the traffic warden is out there before 8 o'colck! "
