Warm, welcoming, and full of character, Cockleshell Cottage is the perfect cosy hideaway in the centre of Sheringham. This charming flint cottage sits just moments from the sandy beach and bustling high street, offering a snug and homely retreat for couples, families, and coastal wanderers. Inside, you'll find a comfortable lounge made for curling up after a day by the sea, complete with soft seating and a relaxed, coastal feel. The well‑equipped kitchen is ideal for slow breakfasts or simple suppers, while the two inviting bedrooms provide a peaceful place to rest, sleeping up to five guests.
With its comforting atmosphere and unbeatable location, Cockleshell Cottage is a wonderful choice for autumn escapes, winter weekends, and long summer days by the shore. Bring your dog, settle in, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life on the North Norfolk Coast.
Ground floor: Front door leading into Lounge: with two sofas, feature fireplace and TV, flowing into the Kitchen: with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and microwave. Family Shower room: with shower cubicle, wash basin and WC. Door leading into Dining room: table and bench seating and small patio. Steep, corner staircase leading to first floor.
First floor: Doors to Double Bedroom: with double bed, bedside tables, chest of draws and wardrobe. Bunk bedroom: with a double bed on the bottom and single bed on top (top only suitable for a child) and bedside table.
Please note: Outside: enclosed patio area to the rear of the property with seating. Also small paved area to front with a bench. Amenities: WIFI. Bed linen and towels provided. 1 x small, well behaved dog welcome at £20.00 per week. Whilst there is no parking at the property, the Cliff Road or Station car park are close by and both weekly and annual passes are available to purchase. Location: beach 20 metres, pubs and shops a 2-minute stroll.

Lovely cottage,well appointed,close to everything you could possibly need,lovely. Stairs can be abit of a challenge but overall perfectly

We will not be returning.

Hi Our stay at Cockleshell Cottage WAS NOT ENJOYABLE and we will not be returning. The issues were: 1 On arriving, the cottage had not been cleaned and dirty bedding was in the shower. This was rectified after our complaint. We had access at 5.30. 2 The cottage was frizzing cold as no heating was on. After turning it on, the cottage warmed up by the next day. 3 There are light bulbs missing and the electric fire in the front room does not work. 4 On the Saturday we found that the shower door was stuck. we could not open it so it could not be used. The toilet seat is also louse, so when it was used it moved. We left a day early than booked, first thing Sunday morning pleased to be going home

Lovely Holiday

The Fisherman cottage was just what we expected, clean with all what we wanted for our weeks stay. Every think in the house was there even some ice for a G & T. Parked the car up in the car park just over the back and the sea was was only a hop. skip and jump from the front door. Had coffee in the morning at the front garden table, so did our neighbours so had a good chat even with passing locals and holiday makers. Looking to go back next year.
