Little Gem is a first floor self-contained apartment in the heart of Old Village Shanklin with private terraced south facing garden great for sun bathing or al fresco dining. Private hot tub is available for all bookings from November 2021. Gas central heated apartment with private entrance, free parking with access to electric car charging point; 18p/kWh.
Great pubs and restaurants in the Old Village, under 5 mins walk through Tower Cottage Gardens to Shanklin Beach and 1 min to Shanklin Chine. Minutes from main line train station and main bus routes 2, 3, Bay and Island Breezer (seasonal).
Little Gem overlooks a tropical garden, Shanklin Chine & Rhylstone Gardens and consists of a spacious bedroom with a super king size bed (or twins if preferred), a leather sofa, dining area, UHD Smart TV with Free Sat and internet access to Netflix and Prime etc. Wi-Fi/Internet. There is a separate fully equipped kitchen with electric oven & induction hob, washing machine & dishwasher, fridge/freezer & microwave.
Little Gem has a large bathroom, comprising of bath with shower over, WHB & WC. A welcome pack of food provisions for your first breakfast (bread, eggs, butter, cereal, jams, milk, tea, mineral water, fresh fruit and fresh coffee) and a bottle of wine is provided. Linen and towels supplied (please bring own beach towels). Limitations are (sorry) no pets unless discussed prior to arrival. Children must be 12 years or above and be included within the maximum number of persons (2).

Debbie and Andrew were excellent hosts! They were friendly and informative. The accommodation was so lovely and that super king bed! We would highly recommend Little gem to anyone, although I did struggle a bit with the stairs and getting into the shower as it was over a bath I managed as I only have slight disabilities. The jacuzzi was a wonderful bonus particularly if you have travelled from afar. Would we recommend or return? You bet your boots we would!

Beautifully decorated accommodation, spotless and in a stunning location. Very welcoming and the hot tub was a great bonus. Every effort was made by Debbie and Andrew to make our stay with them just brilliant.

Couldn't have been better

Great location that's in the heart of the old village part of Shanklin, but it's also quiet, so much so that you can easily sleep with the bedroom window open at night if you prefer a cooler bedroom. The place was spotlessly clean with a well equipped kitchen for its size. The hosts Debbie and Andrew were very warm and welcoming and provided all the things I needed for breakfast the next morning (bread, butter, jam, milk, eggs, tea, coffee and granola), so that I didn't need to go straight to the shops when I arrived. There are plenty of nice places to hike nearby, I hiked to Bonchurch along the coastal path, and from Ventnor to St. Catherine's Lighthouse on another, if you enjoy that. Will definitely be staying here again.

A True Gem

From the moment we arrived we felt extremely welcome. We were given a warm greeting by the owners. This is an outstandingly presented apartment with attention paid to every detail. The welcome pack outshone anything we have had before. The owners took time to explain the best places to eat and drink. I would 100% recommend this place to stay as it is ideally located for visiting the Island and the way it is presented. No faults what so ever, a true home from home.

Debbie & Andrew are very good hosts. A small incident dealt with efficiently and without fuss. Apartment is spotlessly clean, right in the heart of Shanklin. Ability for storage of cycles if required. Good welcome pack included, the wine went down very well indeed! We would return, thanks for a good week, we wish it could have been longer....

Lovely place to stay

We stayed for two nights with our 4 year old grandson. Debbie was so welcoming. Loved the little extras that were included to make us feel at home. The place was lovely and clean. Ideal location as no need to go out in the car. Wonderful and would definitely recommend. Thank you

Little Gem - Shanklin

Nice spacious apartment in the heart of Shanklin. Very quiet and close to all amenities. The apartment is comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The garden area is sunny and sheltered. Debbie is a great host and eager to please. Highly recommended for a stay in Shanklin.

Fantastic.....

I cannot stress the word FANTASTIC more with this property. Even during these difficult times, the process was excellent throughout...size, ambiance, decor, cleanliness, location, our 'welcome pack'....it was lovely. On arrival, we were met by the lovely Debbie who explained everything, including the depth of cleaning for our arrival.....and we couldn't fault anything.....and the beautiful weather helped and allowed us to enjoy our private garden. If you ever think about visiting the region, this property will give you everything and more THANK YOU from us both
