Summary:

Haltwhistle West is a stunningly remodeled, 3 bedroom/3 bathroom vacation home located on the bluffs.



The Space:

This single level rental features magnificent unobstructed panoramic ocean views from nearly every room, making it a whale watchers dream. You will also have access to 2 outdoor parking spaces to ensure room for your vehicles.



As you enter Halwhistle West you are greeted by a bright open floor plan consisting of a living room, kitchen, and dining area. This common space is gorgeously lit with natural lighting due to the dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows. The living room is arranged with plenty of seating gathered around a fireplace and 40" flat screen TV (no cable). As the coastal breeze picks up, light the fireplace at night to set a cozy atmosphere. Curl up on the couch with your loved ones for a movie. WiFi is provided for family entertainment. Seats are ideally placed in front of the oceanfront view, encouraging you to read a good novel or nap with the pacific ocean as your backdrop. Down the hall is a full guest bathroom for everyone to share. A washer and dryer are assembled suitable for longer visits.



Adjacent to the living room is a fully equipped kitchen. This white kitchen is equipped with updated appliances and plenty of counter space/cabinetry. A chef will enjoy cooking delicious meals in here. A dining table for 4 is just steps away. A second table is available with 4 more seats. If you are in the mood to grill, a BBQ is prepared outside.



The expansive deck is great for watching the sunset. The deck is surrounded by a lush meadow.



The master bedroom has a Queen-size bed laid before large windows. Imagine waking up to the blue water waves crashing in the near distance. There is an attached master bathroom with a walk-in shower. Down the hall is the first guest bedroom, similarly with a Queen-size bed and attached bathroom. This guest bathroom has a shower/tub combo. The second guest bedroom is perfect for kids, with there are 2 Twin-size beds.



The Sea Ranch is a planned community with over 3000 acres featuring: The Historic Sea Ranch Chapel, The Sea Ranch lodge (restaurant and shopping), a 50-mile trail system with 6 public beach access points, dog park, and 3 recreation centers with outdoor pools, locker rooms, half-basketball court, and tennis courts (amenities vary with each center) for guest use. RV's, trailers, or mobile homes are strictly not allowed.



This home is not pet friendly. If there is evidence found of an animal presence during your stay or post check-out, you will be charged additional cleaning fees.

We had a great stay - home was in an amazing location with views from every window! Rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped. Everything was similar to the pictures but the scale of the home was somewhat larger than expected, which was great. The two deck chairs for enjoying the sunset were also a nice surprise - would happily stay again!

We have been coming to Sea Ranch for over 40 years. This property is in the top 3. The closeness to the ocean, bluff trail, and seal rookery can’t be beat! What would improve it are: better instructions regarding the bbq in the garage and how to dispose of coals, there was a propane bbq on the deck that didn’t work but the mgmt team sent the maintenance person, Ryan out right away. He was very friendly and managed to get it working 2) trim some of the high grass especially on the path to the trail and in front of the garbage shed. Ticks are a danger in Sea Ranch so we would like to see that managed a bit better. Thank you for a great stay!

Sea Ranch Perfection

You can't go wrong with home that's right on the water. Tide pools, waves and whales, all in a home that's clean, comfortable and well stocked for a family outing. We will be back.

this house has beautiful view, and lots of stuff provided. We had a great time there. please be aware that some mobile carrier may have no service in the area at all. so recommend have the check-in instruction ready before departure.

Beach Vacation

Took my wife and young daughters. The house is fantastic, the location couldn't be better. Amazing views, you can go down to the tide pools right outside the house which my girls wanted to do daily. Had a great time, would definitely book this house again.

Really great stay!

Setting was spectacular with great views. House was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The management company did a great job answering our questions. We liked being able to use the community pools and all the hiking paths. We also loved being able to see the seals. All the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely come back!

Simpy Fantastic

Exactly as advertised and just what I was looking for in Sea Ranch. Very clean, everything I needed in the kitchen and plenty of firewood. The only thing that needs attention is one of the windows in the main room, it appears to have moisture caught in between the panes of glass so it's hard to see the beautiful view outside that one window. Already planning my next trip!

Perfect location!

This is our new favorite place to stay at Sea Ranch. The few is fantastic-- just steps from the ocean. The tidepools in your 'front yard' are perfect for kids and the property itself is clean, well maintained and very comfortable.

This is a beautiful house in a great location with a fantastic view of the ocean. It was easy to access and get The Sea Ranch papers. It was very clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen, bedroom and bath. This was our first trip to The Sea Ranch and I imagine all properties are quiet and private, this was too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely like to return again someday. Bob and Linda

Fantastic!

Amazing views even in 2 of the 3 bedrooms. Very well stocked kitchen, hiking trails right outside. A perfect week away with friends and our dog. We’re already planning our return!

Sea Ranch stay

This is a great home and location. Great views from all rooms. This is the best stocked rental home ever! Adult and pup seals were visible from a few hundred feet down the trail in front of the house. And more seals seen the next beach north still on the Sea Ranch Property. It would be better if I didn't have to go to the office to pick up and drop off the keys. Overall we had a great time and hope to return

Fantastic place to stay

What a fantastic house - beautiful location, clean house, comfortable beds, nice linens, thick towels, a kitchen with everything you need and plenty of plates, cups, glasses, etc. In short, we did not have a single complaint about this house and would love to go back. What a shame, then, that in order to rent this lovely home, one has to deal with the severely-lacking-in-customer-service folks at Grand Welcome. The clunky check in and out process that forces you to drive an extra 20 minutes to pick up and drop off keys. The terse conversations with staff when requesting information. And the somewhat convoluted and contradictory instructions received via email and with the keys. It all took something away from a lovely stay.

TERRIBLE!

This was a very disappointing house to rent for my family for Thanksgiving. We paid nearly $1500/night. It was GROSSLY OVERPRICED!! Check in process was a fail, house has no hot tub, no cable, no gas grill, no lounge chairs to enjoy the view, no dish towels…the condition of the home overall is very poor. The only redeeming grace of this home is the magnificent location. Really pathetic. Will never rent this home again.

A delightful home with exceptional views

The views are unparalleled! Other reasons to love this home: it was easy to heat and keep cozy or cool down, the beds were great, the bathrooms and kitchen worked well, and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and many utensils. As others have noted, it's a slight extra hassle to go up to Gualala to pick up and drop off keys - unclear why rentals are set up this way. But an exceptional experience otherwise.

Wonderful stay!

The location and the practical set up of this home suited us perfectly. We were all working remotely and getting outside every chance we could. Frequent trips to check on the harbor seal moms and pups were a highlight. So was the spectacular night sky. Cooking was easy with everything we needed. All good!

Our Haltwhistle stay

This home is beautiful with full views of the crashing surf. The home has more than adequate heat and nice furniture so we were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. Our only problem was finding the Welcome Center to pick up our packets. We expected it to be close to the rental and instead we had to drive to Gualala and then back to the house.
