  • This wonderful second floor apartment is perfectly situated for couples looking to explore the Yorkshire coastline and the North York Moors National Park.. All on the Second Floor:

    Kitchen: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher

    Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed

    Bedroom 2: Single (3ft) Bed

    Bathroom: Bath With Shower Attachment, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for multi-fuel burner included.. On road parking. No smoking.. A delightful, second floor apartment, located on the exclusive South Cliff in Scarborough. Holbeck Apartment is situated in a quiet area, just a short stroll from the beach and the town centre. This elegant apartment has partial sea views and is the perfect base to see the Yorkshire coast and the North York Moors National Park.

    Scarborough is a traditional seaside resort with something for all age groups. On the North Bay there’s the Alpamare Waterpark with its water chutes and wave machine, as well as Peasholm Park, with its beautiful gardens and lake. The Marine Drive is nearby and is over 4 miles long making it great for leisurely walks along the seafront. Scarborough Castle, once a Royal fortress and now a popular English Heritage Site, stands proud on the cliff top with its 12th-century tower overlooking the north and south bays. Scarborough also has a great variety of restaurants, bars and tearooms, as well as the Stephen Joseph Theatre, home to most of Alan Ayckbourn’s plays.

    Travel north and you will reach the North York Moors National Park, where you will find a variety of woodland trails, great for walking and cycling. The Dalby Forest is also nearby and is home to the World Cup Mountain Bike competition with exhilarating trails, as well as more leisurely tracks for beginners, so why not make the most of the storage at the property for two bikes (situated up a flight of stairs), don your helmet and have a go! The seaside towns of Whitby, Filey and Bridlington are just a short drive away. Further along the coast you will find the RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs, where you can view the migrating sea birds from the viewing platforms. Beach 1 mile. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Pleasently suprised as this was a last minute booking due to the current situation.

Pleasently suprised as this was a last minute booking due to the current situation. Once you open the door you are welcomed to a lovely homely apartment, very comfortable, cleanliness second to none and nice family touches with books games and dvd's, it is located in a quiet area and we could always get parked outside the apartment, it's an ideal location for driving and visiting other coastal resorts and a lovely scenic walk if you want to go down into Scarborough. A large, character second floor apartment in a residential area. Most comfortable, warm, very well equipped & nicely furnished. Lovely touch of a Christmas tree, lights, personal card & a door wreath. Most welcoming. Log burner a bonus. Wifi excellent. Parking no problem. Neighbours very quiet. One street back from the coast. Only points to be aware of :- hand held shower in the bath & two flights of steep stairs to climb to the apartment. However fortunately for us, minor points. Would certainly recommend.

Really very nice place.

Really very nice place. Location is great. Love the 1930's features. Needs a few updates here and there but looks like these are being done over time. We felt very much at home here. Parking was free and on street and no problems to park right outside all the time.

Well equipped apartment. Good location for beach and Cleeveland coastal path. Nearest shop is in town centre which is 20 minutes walk. Scarborough is a lovely seaside town with plenty to do. We came for the Jazz Festival which was excellent.

very nice appartment.

very nice appartment. good, quiet location only 20 minute walk into Scarborough. Parking right outside the front door. Bus stop only 5 minute walkaway, buses to Filey, Bridlington, Hull, Scarborough and Whitby. Only downside was the bathroom, hand held shower over bath with sloping ceiling above which meant having to kneel down to take a shower.

The apartment was spotless and brand new ,however, there are 30 stairs up to it and they are ridicul

The apartment was spotless and brand new ,however, there are 30 stairs up to it and they are ridiculously steep. Getting luggage up was a nightmare, especially for an older couple. The bathroom was also difficult as there was only a bath and a hand held shower.For us getting in and out of the bath was difficult,especially as there was no hand rail to assist and no slip mat. The location was also a problem as it is situated on the very top of the cliff. Getting anywhere on foot was worthy of a duke of Edinburgh award ,going down was bad enough but getting back up was heart attack provoking. We feel guilty giving such a bad review because it is obvious that the owners have put their hearts into this project but unless you are uber fit or only intend to use the apartment as a base to drive else where then this is not the location for you.
