The room was clean and you can tell that the property is in the process of being updated. The staff was nice and the hotel was better than I anticipated based on past reviews. I would stay there again if I am in the area.

Quick check in time with friendly staff, the room was very clean, and the hotel was quiet. Best sleep on this particular road trip.

Night Staff (men) was awesome morning staff was kinda moody and snappy (Ladies) I asked for ice at 10 am and she started it was limited and gave me one sandwich bag which wasn’t enough for 3adults after paying $170 dollars for 1 night…

Sorry left a comment about the ice machine and coffee machine being broken. The suspected fleas or bed bugs were for another Days Inn. It was nice to see the hotel was being remodeled.

No roll away bed, but this may have been an error on hotels.com website. Luckily there was a Walmart near by so we purchased a twin mattress for 23 bucks so our son and daughter didn’t have to share a bed. Couple small items, the door 3 on the rear entrance didn’t lock. But didn’t feel any reason to fear, pretty nice area. Would stay here again.

We had clean rooms. However, they were renovating. We asked for a handicap accessible room and they could not accommodate us. Therefore, we had to walk down plywood since they were installing carpet. We were looking forward to using the pool after dinner. However, we were informed that we could not use the pool because it was cloudy. The breakfast was OK if you like all cold foods or things you can pop into a toaster. The only thing that was warm was the coffee or the hot water to add to your packet of oatmeal. I would rate this a three out of five Plus there was a group of 4 men smoking pot behind our room on the grass by the grill.

Our room did not have a microwave and they didn’t inform before visiting, so I was required to walk to the main lobby to heat food, very inconvenient since the room was at the end of the hallway.

Put us on the second floor. No elevator so had to carry luggage and all our leathers up the long flight of stairs. At least the desk clerk helped us carry a couple things up. Chose it because of the hot tub but it wasn't working. Breakfast wasn't much. Barely enough to call it a breakfast.

The dead bolt to my door did not work. There was no security chain. I did not feel safe You could see where people had tried to pry many of the doors open. The lock to the buildings back door had been ripped out. Wires were still hanging out of the wall. I feel this building had no security at all.

Avoid! The hotel is rundown (apparently in a remodel....I'm not sure it will ever get done), hallways are dark and drab. The continental breakfast was one of the poorer I've seen but was provided. The hotel description mentioned rollaway beds available, the staff member at check in said they had thrown them out (assuming in the remodel), it was a two-story property with no elevator. This was not mentioned in the description as we would have NOT stayed here for that alone as we had someone with us who has mobility issues. The ONLY saving grace of this one-night (and never again) stay was our room was newly remodeled and didn't look like the horrible hallways and common areas. All this awfulness for an exorbitant price for a Saturday night stay in the UP. Do not stay at this hotel, don't even think about it.

No dresser. No luggage rack. No coat hangers. No coat hanger rail. Faulty smoke detector that chirped until we took it down (replacing the 9V battery did nothing). No latch for door. Door was beat up like there had been a forced entry. This place is scary. Never again. Too many other options in Sault St.Marie.

Broken and Missing

Pool was beautiful. Lots of shortcomings otherwise. A few examples: Secure lock on back entrance broken, ice machine broken, no soda in machine, bathroom fan made loud noise all night, no Kleenex available, breakfast terrible. No table space in room. Workmen blocking lobby and hallways.

Drains were clogged, very noisy bath fan, dirty carpets, Main floor ice machine has been out of service for 5 months. Doors and furniture were in very bad shape. I would not recommend this Days Inn to anyone!

I didn’t like the fact that I was told I wouldn’t be getting a refund even tho I only looked at the room and said no no way are we staying here. There was black mold on walls by the window. And you didn’t dare turn on the fan or heater not sure what would’ve blew out of it but there was crumbs and dog hair all over and the lady that checked us in was very unpleasant to us.
